Monday Mishmash 5/20/13

Happy Monday! Here's my mishmash of thoughts:

  1. Scholastic Book Fair  I'm working the Scholastic Book Fair at my daughter's school again this week. Even though I just placed an online order, I'm sure I'll be buying more books.
  2. Cricket's Drive Around Town  This weekend I got the color illustrations for my upcoming picture book and they blew my mind. This book is going to be so adorable!
  3. Into the Fire  I just sent my edits off to my editor this past weekend for Into the Fire, which is coming in January 2014 through Month9Books. And I updated my FB author page so the gorgeous cover is on there. :)
  4. Stalked by Death ARC  My Stalked by Death ARC arrived on Saturday! Squee! I thought I wasn't getting it until BEA, so I'm really excited to get to hold my pretty book!
  5. Advantage: Heartbreak  Less than 10 days until the release of Advantage: Heartbreak, novella #2 in the Game. Set. Match. Heartbreak series. Yay!
That's it for me. What's on your mind today?

  5. That is the danger at working at any book fair. I helped at my kiddos' elementary school book fair only once; way too tempting!

    1. Oh, I'm awful. I send my daughter with money and always end up giving her a lot more. Then when she leaves, I continue to buy. Needless to say I'm always asked to work the fair. :)

  6. itto what Jessie Harrell said.

I've been updating T.A.A. all weekend, it's been so fun, too, so I hope the improvements and updates (I now have an easy contact section)will encourage more user participation. One area I'd REALLY like to see more growth this year.

Hopefully the "Welcome Video" I'm working on for T.A.A. thanks in GREAT part to "Video Idiot Boot Camp" I'm taking will better SHOW what my site's about, and seeing as

That's the challenge with being a pioneer of your niche, even though competing with a trillion others is no great small task, either.

  22. You have so much going on. How do you change mindset from one age group/genre to another?

After my children being ill for most of last week, this week is all about catch up for me. Thankfully my imagination didn't stop just because I had little time for writing so I have several amendments/developments to make to my novel.

    Have a great week.
