Monday Mishmash 7/13/15

Happy Monday! Monday Mishmash is a weekly meme dedicated to sharing what's on your mind. Feel free to grab the button and post your own Mishmash.

Here's what's on my mind today:
  1. Editing  My editing schedule is getting crazy—in a good way. I'm almost booked through the rest of the year.
  2. Release dates and cover reveals  I can't wait until I can share more, but let's just say that August and September are going to bring great things. I can't wait.
  3. Secret Project  So, my street team (Kelly's Coven) and my newsletter subscribers know what my secret project is. No one else will know about it until it's revealed on release day. ;) It's all in the works though, so keep an eye out.
  4. Mini-vacation  I'll be spending a few days in Mystic, CT. It's been years since I've been there, and I'm looking forward to checking out the aquarium and seaport.
  5. Day planners  Last week I had the dreaded experience of finding out my day planner was running out. The horror! I can't live without one. Luckily, that was remedied right away, and I'm already writing in my new turquoise day planner. Anyone else need a planner to survive?
That's it for me. What's on your mind today?

  1. Mystic sounds like a wonderful name for a place. You sound a lot more organised than me. I must try harder. Still working away on my novel. Have a great week.

  5. I do need a planner, but mine's split between Google Calendar and Excel, so I'll never run out. ;-)

    1. I'm old school when it come to planners. I need to physically write in them.

  6. You sound busy as always. I use Google calendar, which alerts me to appointments via my iPhone. It's essential at this point. Have fun in Mystic.

  7. I can't think of Mystic, CT without thinking of the movie, Mystic Pizza. Great movie. And now I want pizza. I used to use a day planner, but I've cured myself of the dependency. Lol. Yours sounds pretty though.

  9. I have a medium-sized agenda holder that holds my to-do list and calendar. I can't live without it. It's getting raggedy, but it's discontinued. I should have bought a spare when I saw it last time at the store many years ago. It's just the right size, unlike the narrow ones typically seen.

I love hearing your good news. I'd love to visit Connecticut one day.

    1. Ah, Medeia, you aren't in the FB group anymore. I have to remember to send out newsletters because you aren't the only one in Kelly's Coven who isn't in the FB group.

I hate when they discontinue something I love. It's so sad.

  11. Sounds like you have some great things going on and some fun news to share soon! At my house, we are enjoying hosting a French exchange student, and I'm working on various small writing projects while waiting for editorial notes.

By the way, I wanted to mention that I thought your suggestion for last Monday's First Impression post was inspired -- a waking memory as part of a post-traumatic flashback. That could absolutely work for that writer!

Now about that secret project whose reveal date is also a secret... Good reason to corner the Kelly Coven Teamsters.

  14. My planner is mostly digital. I use sticky notes on my computer. I have a few note apps on my phone and I use Google Calendar. I do have a dry erase board for really important things.

Have fun on your mini vacation!

    1. I don't know why, but I like to have my day planner instead of a digital calendar. I need the satisfaction of physically crossing things off.
