Monday Mishmash 11/23/15

Happy Monday! Monday Mishmash is a weekly meme dedicated to sharing what's on your mind. Feel free to grab the button and post your own Mishmash.

Here's what's on my mind today:
  1. Editing  I'm editing for Leap this week. I'm forcing myself to take breaks to give my poor eyes a rest and hopefully cut down on the eye strain and headaches.
  2. Into the Fire Trilogy  I got my release schedule for the Into the Fire Trilogy and ALL 3 books will release in spring 2016! I couldn't be more excited about this. This means no waiting to read the next book. The entire trilogy will be in the readers' hands in a matter of weeks! Here's the official release schedule:
    1. INTO THE FIRE February 16, 2016
    2. OUT OF THE ASHES February 23, 2016
    3. UP IN FLAMES March 22, 2016
  3. Jamberry Facebook Party  I'm hosting a Jamberry nail wrap party November 30th-December 7th. I fell in love with Jamberry last spring and now I'm addicted. If you'd like to party with me and possibly win free samples, let me know and I'll add you. No pressure to buy. Just come join the fun.
  4. Drafting  As part of my attempt to save my poor eyes, I've decided to reinstate my balanced schedule of writing and editing each day. When I write, I don't stare intently at the screen like I do while I'm editing. So I'm drafting a few thousand words a day now on my WIP, which happens to be an adult thriller.
  5. Fright Before Christmas  Have you pre-ordered your copy of Fright Before Christmas yet? It's only $1.99 right now on Kindle. It's a scary fun Christmas read for middle grade and up.
  6. Happy Thanksgiving  I hope you all have a very happy and safe Thanksgiving. Be careful traveling, and if you go out on Black Friday PLEASE stay safe. People get crazy when there are sales. I'll be waiting for the much safer Cyber Monday. ;)
That's it for me. What's on your mind today?

    1. I'll share news on my middle grade series with Kelly's Coven as soon as I have it, Ed. You'll be the first to know. :)

  2. That's great they'll all be out so close together like that! We are going to go see The Good Dinosaur either Fri or Sat & since we'll be so close to B&N, I'll be popping in there. Eek! I'm hoping it won't be as bad as say Wal-Mart. I am not a Black Friday shopper, so not my thing!

    1. I'm really excited about the release schedule. :)

I've never gone out on Black Friday. Good luck! And enjoy the movie.

  3. I just finished reading Fright Before Christmas and my review is ready to post next week. One thing's for sure, I'll never look at Christmas in the same way as I always have. :)

  5. I'm an Incoco addict. I tried Jamberry...they started peeling off within a day. Incoco is real nail polish, so I just stick it on and it stays. I wish I'd liked Jamberry...they had some cool designs! I'm putting my first set of Incoco Christmas nails on Wednesday morning. Super excited!

    1. Enjoy! I don't have that issue with Jamberry. You have to hear the wraps though. Maybe you needed more heat. I just got the heater and it's amazing. What a difference!

  6. Yay for your trilogy. Can't wait to read the books. I can't imagine being an editor. I find it hard editing my own work. It does strain my eyes.

    1. It's so much easier to edit somebody else's work than your own. I always cringe at how many mistakes I make in my own writing that I would easily have found in someone else's.

  8. I like the idea of releasing a series all at once. Good for you! I hope you give your eyes a complete rest on Thursday, and let your nose guide your day, whether cooking or feasting.

    1. I don't plan to work at all on Thanksgiving. I've been learning to give myself more breaks, and it's definitely helping.

  10. Hope you find a solution to your eye problem. You're busy as ever. Great news about the spring release.

Now I've sent my manuscript off, I'm working on a murder mystery play and preparing for Christmas.

    Have a great week.
