1. Memorial Day  I hope everyone has a safe holiday and remembers the true meaning of this day.
2. Editing  This week, I'm finishing up that huge edit I've been working on.
3. Drafting  I WILL get words written on my Piper Christmas novella this week. I will!
4. Book Signing  On Saturday, my daughter and I will both be signing books at the Hughes branch of the Eastern Monroe County Library from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00.
5. Giveaway  My giveaway for a signed ARC of Drastic Crimes Call for Drastic Insights is more than half over. Enter here if you haven't yet.

1. Editing I'm trying to get caught up on a huge edit since my daughter was sick Friday into Saturday and I lost a lot of work time. Thankfully, she's feeling better now. I hate seeing her sick.
2. Drastic Crimes Call for Drastic Insights  Thank you to everyone who purchased Drastic Crimes during release week and those who preordered. I really appreciate it. I just got my author copies in last Friday. They're so pretty!
3. Plotting  I didn't get to plot my Piper Christmas novella last week due to a huge edit that is taking up most of my time. I did write the blurb, though, so it's a start. Hopefully, I can finish plotting this week.
4. Summer  It's felt like summer here. We opened the pool over the weekend, and I can't wait for the water to warm up so I can swim.
5. Reading  My reading time is still limited due to editing, but I'm squeezing it in where I can.

1. Editing  No surprise here. I'm editing for two clients this week.
2. Brainstorming  I'm brainstorming my Piper Ashwell Psychic P.I. Christmas novella.
3. Getting Foresight Favors the Felon ready for preorder  Timing preorders can be tricky because you have to wait for the release date you want to become available on Amazon, but I need the preorder to go up before Drastic Crimes Call for Drastic Insights releases on the 14th.
4. Coming up with titles  As much as I love my Piper Ashwell series, the titles nearly kill me to come up with. I'm really struggling with the title for my Christmas novella.

Monday Mishmash 4/8/19

Here's what's on my mind today:

1. Drafting  I'm actually drafting the 7th book in the Piper Ashwell Psychic P.I. series right now immediately after finishing the draft of book six. (Have I mentioned I love this series?)
2. Editing  I wound up with a rare few days off between edits, which is why I'm able to get in more drafting. I do have a new edit scheduled for a week from today, and it will most likely show up in my inbox before this week is over.
3. New cover!  The 4th book in the Piper series got a gorgeous cover!!! I'm not revealing it until next month, so I can't share it yet, but seriously, it's so pretty!!!!
4. Proofreading  I got the paperback proof of Piper #4, and I need to get that proofread so the preorder will be ready to go up in May.
5. Revisions  I have to get to revisions on my last paranormal title now that I have notes back from my editor. We'll see if I can squeeze that in this week or not.

Here's what's on my mind today:

1. Piper Ashwell Psychic P.I. book 6  This week, I'm hoping to finish the first draft of book six in the series. Drafting is going much slower than usual (only 2K-7.5K days) because my editing schedule is packed.
2. Editing  April is a busy editing month for me since I scheduled three full-length client edits in addition to the small edits I wind up getting as well.
3. Cover design  This week I'm working with Red Umbrella Graphic Designs to create the cover for book 4 in the Piper Ashwell series. I'm so excited because Ali always creates such amazing covers!
4. Taxes  I can't believe the first quarter is already over. That means it's time to pay local taxes. At least my 2018 taxes were taken care of last month.

1. Drafting  I finished an edit early, which means I have a few days before the next one comes in. I'm drafting book 6 in the Piper Ashwell Psychic P.I. during that time.

Here's what's on my mind today:

1. Editing  As usual, I'm working on client edits this week.
2. Revising  Last week, I managed to revise book 4 in the Piper Ashwell Psychic P.I. series. This week, I'm hoping to tackle revisions on book 5.
3. Tennis elbow  I got tennis elbow from working on my computer too much.  After researching, I have adjusted my chair height, which I suspect was the culprit. I also got a wrap made specifically for tennis elbow, and I'm wearing that while I work. So far, that's helping the pain.
4. Author copies  I got author copies of all three Madison Kramer Mystery books and Read Between the Crimes. Yay! I love getting a big box of books! 
   
5. Plotting  I'm hoping to plot book 6 in the Piper Ashwell Psychic P.I. series this week.

Here's what's on my mind today:

1. Editing  My editing schedule is crazy booked this year. I have no gaps in my schedule, and it actually overlaps in a few places since I tend to finish edits quicker than the allotted time. I'm finishing up an edit today.
2. Plotting/Drafting  Because my editing schedule is so full, I have to draft whenever I possibly can. I just finished drafting book 6 in the Piper Ashwell Psychic P.I. series last week, and I'll be starting book 7 probably later today because I will have some time this week before my next edit comes.
3. Blogger commenting issue  I recently discovered if I turn on my comment moderation, the captcha goes away. Yay! I hate captcha. Even though I had it set so it didn't go on, it still was. It was very annoying. So now I have to moderate every comment, but it's better than having that annoying captcha pop up.

1. My daughter's birthday  Tomorrow is my daughter's twelfth birthday. I'm not sure how she's twelve already. I'm so proud of her. She's an amazing kid.
2. Drafting  I'm finishing up the draft of book 5 in the Piper Ashwell Psychic P.I. series today!!!! Yay!
3. Revising  Once this draft is complete, I'll do a final revision on book 4 in the Piper Ashwell series before sending the book to my editor.
4. Editing  I'm taking full advantage of the few days I have off between edits to get my own work done. I'll have a new edit coming soon, though.

4. Drafting  I'm slowly making my way through the first draft of book five in the Piper Ashwell Psychic P.I. series. I'm going slow because I have so many client edits to finish, which means I can only write for a couple hours a day at the moment.

6. Blogger issues continue  I've deleted my Google+ account, which should have fixed my inability to comment on my own blog, but alas, I continue to struggle. I don't know what else to do at this point. Blogger said Google+ was causing the issue, so shouldn't this be fixed now?

1. Drafting  I'm working on drafting book five in the Piper Ashwell Psychic P.I. series. With a book coming out every two and a half months, I have to stay ahead of these releases and constantly be working on the next book.

3. Editing  I finished up a big edit and have another one coming my way in a few days.

5. Blogger issues  I'm really confused by this, but apparently Google+ is the cause of the issues with Blogger. Isn't Blogger run by Google? I've tried everything, but I can't seem to fix the commenting issue I'm having despite doing what Blogger instructed me to do. I'm contemplating switching blog hosts, but with all I have going on right now, I'm not sure I want to devote the time to moving to Wordpress, which I loathe.

Here's what's on my mind today:

1. Editing  The end of this month is packed with client edits.
2. Cover design  I'm hoping to get the cover for my Piper novella this week. My cover designer will also be working on the new covers for my series redo, which will become the Madison Kramer Mysteries.
3. Blogger issues  I still can't comment on my blog or anyone else's with my Google profile. I think it's a browser issue because I only have Safari. I can sometimes comment using the name/url option, but it doesn't always give me that option. *sigh*
4. Reworking my publishing schedule  I have a lot of cozy mysteries coming out this year. I still have a paranormal novel drafted and with a cover already. I'm just not sure where to fit it in my schedule since my cozy mysteries series are taking up all my time.
5. Drafting by hand  As I mentioned previously, I'm drafting an Ashelyn novella by hand while my daughter is at basketball practice. So far it's going well.

2. Madison Kramer Mysteries As I mentioned last week, I'm reworking the Lies We Tell Trilogy. The books are now unpublished and being reworked as the Madison Kramer Mysteries. I'll announce the book titles soon. I really love the titles!
3. Piper Ashwell-Madison Kramer crossover I'm plotting a Piper Ashwell-Madison Kramer crossover novella. Since Madison is an author and Piper's office is next to a bookstore... See where I'm going with this? I'm excited!
4. Editing I have a new edit coming to me very soon. I better get drafting in the meantime.
5. Cover design Have I mentioned I love working with my cozy mystery cover designer? She takes my ideas and makes them ten times better (possibly more than ten times better). I'm getting things ready for the new Madison Kramer Mysteries covers.

4. Editing  I'm booked solid for the entire month.
5. Plotting In my spare time—wait, do I have any?—I'll be plotting an Ashelyn Drake novella.

3. Cover Design for Drastic Crimes Call for Drastic Insights  The third book (4th if you count the prequel) in the Piper Ashwell Psychic P.I. series is getting a cover this week! Yay! I'm so excited to see it.
4. Drafting  I'm working on book four in the Piper Ashwell series. I really love these characters.
5. Plotting  I rarely work on two books at once, but my editing schedule is packed starting January 1st, so I have to do what I have to do. That means plotting my next Ashelyn Drake book while writing a Kelly Hashway book. Sometimes I feel like I'm two completely different people.

Here's what's on my mind today:

1. New Cozy Mystery Logo  I have a new author logo for my cozy mysteries! I love it so much. Red Umbrella Graphic Designs did a fantastic job with it. Check it out. 
   
2. Editing  I finished a client edit this weekend, and I'm diving into a new one today.
3. Facebook Lives  I did my first Facebook Live video last week, and I laughed so hard at myself. I couldn't figure out how to turn the video off. Somehow I didn't see the "finish" button at the bottom. I also rolled my eyes at myself on video. Needless to say, I'll be doing more videos because I love to laugh at myself. ;) If you want to see the video, you can view it on my page here.
4. Piper Ashwell Psychic P.I. Short  I wrote a short prequel to the Piper Ashwell Psychic P.I. series. This is what happens when I gain hours in the workweek. ;) Anyway, A Sight for Psychic Eyes is being edited and will be ready soon! I'll share more details when I have them.
5. Yes, I'm still writing paranormal  Since I'm launching my cozy mystery brand, I want to address a question that some people have asked me: Will I still write paranormal and romance? The answer to both is yes. Ashelyn Drake isn't going anywhere. She will forever be a romance author. And I will continue to write paranormal because I love it. In fact, my cozy mystery series features a psychic, so technically... If you like subtle hints of paranormal, you might want to give my cozy series a try. If not, that's okay too!

1. New FB author page  Since I'm going to be writing cozy mysteries, which are very different than the paranormal novels I usually write, I've created a separate FB author page. If you enjoy cozy mysteries, please follow my page here.
2. New FB reader group as well  I've also created Kelly's Cozy Corner, a VIP reader group on Facebook. Members will get sneak peeks at covers and excerpts as well as free advanced e-copies of my cozy mysteries. You can request to join here.
3. A new newsletter too!  If you aren't a paranormal or romance fan, you probably didn't subscribe to my newsletter. But...I now have a cozy mystery newsletter. You'll only get updates about my cozy mysteries. Interested? You can subscribe here.
4. Editing  I'm editing for a client again this week. October is booked solid for me.
5. Saying goodbye to a pet  On Friday morning, I discovered our hermit crab had passed away. My daughter was heartbroken, of course. So now we are a one-pet household. My poor daughter has already had to say goodbye to one dog, our cat, and our hermit crab. We're giving Hadley, our lovable German Shepherd/Greyhound mix (or Shephound as I like to say), lots of extra cuddles to help us get through another loss.

Here's what's on my mind today:

1. Hello October  I always feel like as soon as August arrives, it's suddenly October. September flies by. And here we are again.
2. Editing  I have a packed editing schedule this month. I'm talking no breaks at all.
3. Even more hours in my day!  My daughter is involved in so many things at school that I'm gaining even more hours to work during the week. Five more hours to be exact!
4. Two releases this month?  Okay, so I'm releasing my Love Chronicles boxed set this month for sure, but I also might rerelease my Runes World novella, which has been completely redone to omit any references to the Runes World since Kindle Worlds are now a thing of the past. Fingers crossed I can work this into my schedule.
5. Open House  This week is also Open House at my daughter's school.
