Operative by Kate Kaynak

Operative: The Fifth Ganzfield Novel
Synopsis:
Maddie and the rest of the team must catch the person selling classified information to terrorists--before they become the targets.

Since the synopsis is short, let me say that this is the fifth book in the Ganzfield series. If you haven't check out these books yet, you need to go get them now. Maddie and her team have special abilities and they are freakin awesome!

Opening line:
Trevor's gone.

Kate's favorite line:
"If we're not back by tomorrow, feed the cat and send in the Marines."

If you could be any character in the book, who would you be?
I think I kind of *am* Maddie, since she really does channel my snarky inner monologue. Jim Henson may've had Kermit the Frog for an alter-ego, but I have a killer telepath from 'Jersey.

Where can readers find you on the web?

Blog
Ganzfield Site

Just for fun: If you could have a special ability (reading minds, setting things on fire, mind control, etc) which one would you want?

    1. Hi, Kathy! This series has a great cast of characters with some awesome abilities. I can't decide which one I'd want either.

      Thanks for following.

  2. I've never heard about this series, but they seem like awesome reads. Just added them of GR. Thanks, Kelly.

Yeah, special ability...maybe able to shift. That way I'd able to escape oh so many embarrasing situations, or dodge trouble. Oh, this would be really fun! :D

Ooh, shifting would be a good ability to have!

  3. I'm not sure I'd want any special powers like that--you might not like what you hear/see! ;)

This series sounds really good. Thanks for recommending it!

  4. Lots of positive comments here. I must look into these books. Regarding special powers, I don't know, can't think of one offhand.

  5. Sounds like great books. I'll have to check them out. As for the special power, I'd say mind control. Everyone needs persuaded sometimes. :)

    1. Some of the covers have been redone. I think the first two. Or at least there are special editions with different covers.

  7. I haven't red any of these books- but they sound fascinating. What a unique cover! I would want the ability to freeze time. Boy- I could get a LOT more done!

  9. Ouuu I'd want the ability to travel through time. Not exactly reading a future or minds but turn back time or travel back I think that is more useful. You could learn from certain sections or recap certain events that might have gone astray.

  10. First reaction i thought i would chose the ability to read someone's mind, but I think it's not that good as I'm already struggling to understand mine :)

Any time I'm asked this question my answer is telekinesis. :)

  15. ' ... feed the cat and send in the Marines' ~ that's funny! I like characters who can make light of their situations, not because they are dense, but ... hey, if there's nothing else one can do, at least sprinkle some humour around for themselves and others, huh?

    1. I LOVE humor! Every book should have some. Kate does a great job getting humor into her books.

  16. Ooh, that series sounds really good. My list of must reads is getting bigger and bigger!

If I could have any super power it would be to fly. I've always dreamed of having that ability. I definitely would not want to read people's minds. Yikes. I'd probably go kill myself if I knew what most people are thinking of me!! ha

  18. I always think of what Uncle Ben said,"With great power comes great responsibility..." I'd opt to have the powers Bewitched had.. as noted before, except for being married to wimpy, Darren' she had a good grasp of her powers and never got into too much trouble. I'd never want to be able to read minds... I have a hard enough time with my own. Seriously.
