Touch of Death Playlist

So I've been keeping this quiet for a while now, only leaking a song here and there on the Touch of Death Facebook page. But that's all over. Here's the complete Touch of Death playlist, and I even put them in order so they follow the story from start to finish.

Before I show it to you, let me say I chose the songs after I wrote the book, and because I did it that, the songs fit the story really well. I can't listen to any of these without picturing Jodi and the other Ophi.

Okay, here it is!

1. What I’ve Done—Linkin Park
2. Poison—Alice Cooper

3. Monster—Meg & Dia
4. Warrior—Evans Blue
5. Through Hell—We Are the Fallen
6. Live to Die—Evans Blue
7. Zombie—The Pretty Reckless
8. Dance With the Devil—Breaking Benjamin
9. Get Out Alive—Three Days Grave
10. This is Gonna Hurt SixxAM
11. Burn It Down—Linkin Park
12. Hero—Skillet
13. Today Belongs to the Light—Roger Cline & The Peacemakers

There you have it. 13 songs for the necromancers born under the 13th sign of the zodiac.

Here's one of my favorites from the playlist:

And one more of my favs:

    1. No, you're not. Some of these songs were new to me before I tracked them down for the playlist.

  6. Love the playlist idea, especially for the YA market. So many writers are inspired by music, really, no matter what the genre.

  8. Great list. I love Linkin Park, Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin. In never thought of playlist for my book but there's this song on my iPhone that's become the theme song for one of my characters. It's his fight song.

  9. What's great about your post is your association with music! I am so connected to music as I write, I wouldn't know what to do without it.

  12. How fun to see the playlist! I know Linkin Park- but many of the other songs and artists are new to me. I will have to listen!

  13. Wow, this is like totally Young Adult and relevant in terms of music choices for your core market. However, wouldn't Nirvana had made the grade had you're book been written fifteen years ago? In fact, aren't Nirvana the perennial young Americans friend?

  15. Quite a selection!

I'm not sure if a song would fit my MS... maybe I'd have to veer over to classical music and go with something really brooding and stormy...
