Monday Mishmash 2/11/13

Happy Monday! Here's my mishmash of thoughts:
  1. Good News!  Face of Death, the third and final installment in the Touch of Death trilogy is under contract with Spencer Hill Press. The deal was announced in Publisher's Marketplace last week: "Kelly Hashway's FACE OF DEATH, the final book in the Touch of Death trilogy, to Trisha Woolridge at Spencer Hill Press, in a nice deal, by Lauren Hammond at ADA Management Group."
  2. Being sick is awful: My daughter and I have been sick for a long time now, and I'm so done with it all.
  3. Working at my daughter's school:  I'll be helping out at my daughter's school Wednesday and Thursday with Valentine's Day sales and group photos. I love getting to see her with all her friends.
  4. Sweets Blogfest: To celebrate the release of our sweet love stories, my friend Beth Fred and I are hosting The Sweets Blogfest on March 6! And we'd love it if you'd participate. You can sign up in the linky below.

Here are the rules:
  1. Link to both BethKelly.
  2. Post the image above.
  3. Optional: Tell us about your favorite sweet, your favorite memory involving a sweet, or your favorite sweet love story.
  4. You don't have to, but we'd love it if you could post covers for Advantage Heartbreak & The Other Marlowe Girl, in your post.
  5. Have a sweet romance of your own? Promote it in your post!

You'll also get a chance to win e-books of Love All & The Other Marlowe Girl. The rafflecopter for the contest will be available March 6, 2013 in our Sweets post and will remain available until 12 am on the 10th. We will announce winners the following Monday.

If you sign up and would like to include the rafflecopter giveaway on your blog, email me at khashway(at)hotmail(dot)com for the html code. You do not need to include the giveaway in your post. That's optional.

That's it for me. What's on your mind today?

  2. I also got a cold last week, Kelly. I'm just getting better.

After a long hiatus, I hope to resume my blogging this week, and hope you'll stop by soon.

  3. I can feel your pain with being sick. Same here with my daughter and myself. Why did my husband get skipped? I have no idea.

I've never done a blogfest or a bloghop - it's still very foreign to me. SO is the main purpose to promote the books listed in the blogfest and possibly grow your own readers at the same time? If that is the concept then I will figure out how to help be apart of it.

    2. I'll give myself a pat on the back for trying it. I now know what the heck I SHOULD fill in. Oh well. Promoting anything sweet just can't be a bad thing.

  4. Hope you both are doing better. Sinus infections hit my house the last two weekend. Ugh.

  5. Big sigh of relief on nailing down the book 3 contract. Not that I doubted, but sometimes you never know. I'm sure you're relieved it's finalized.

Both of my daughters caught the crud on Friday and it hit me hard yesterday. We are having lots of pajama days here. :)

    1. Pajama days over here, too! LOL My daughter has a snow day due to ice this morning, so we got one extra day off to recover. Feeling so much better though. I hope you and your daughters are on the mend.

And thanks. Yes, big relief! :)

    1. Thanks, Mirka. We are doing much better now. I have a little secret. With the exception of Monday Mishmash, I write my posts ahead of time. That way when I get sick like this, I'm still covered. :)

  13. :( Aww, hope you guys are feeling better soon. It seems like round two of colds are going around right now.

And I'm a little jealous that you get to volunteer for Valentines! I remember Valentines being so much fun in elementary school (probably because of the vast amounts of sugar involved, lol).

  14. Ugh. My family is coming down with the stomach 'flu. I am sequestered in my room, praying I don't succumb! LOL

  15. Congrats, Kelly. I read it myself and was tickled pink for you. This is you year, woman. And it's only the start. I am glad you are on the mend. School mom jobs can be fun - most of the time.

Hugs, and so very happy for you. Hard work does pay off. Enjoy!
