Monday Mishmash 5/15/17

Happy Monday! Monday Mishmash is a weekly meme dedicated to sharing what's on your mind. Feel free to grab the button and post your own Mishmash.

Here's what's on my mind today:
  1. Drafting  I finished another draft on Saturday. That makes three books and one novella drafted in 2017 so far. Now you know where I've been. ;)
  2. Editing  I have two client edits to work on this week.
  3. Mother's Day  I hope all you Moms (I think that word merits capitalization.) had a wonderful Mother's Day. I know I did. My daughter got me books, a new day planner, and she made me 10 adorable character bookmarks. She knows me so well. :)
  4. Revising  This week I need to revise the second book in the Lies We Tell series so I can get it to my editor by June.
  5. It Was Always You e-ARC Signups  I've begun sending out e-ARCs of It Was Always You. I still have a few spots open, so if you're interested in receiving an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review, sign up here
Aria Carmichael and Nate Dixon have the perfect friendship—completely ignoring the fact that they’ve been in love with each other for the better part of twelve years.
When a night filled with too many drinks lowers their inhibitions, they both question if they could take their relationship to a new level.
But a job opportunity threatens to put more than just physical distance between them. Will their romance end before it’s even truly begun?
That's it for me. What's on your mind today?

  1. Sounds like a good book. I'm not a mom, BTW.

  3. How many words are the novels? Revising older books for a re-release? I don't hear of that happening often. Are you adding bonus portions?

    1. These were romance so in the 60K range.

No, I'm not revising for a re-release. It's a new title in the series.

    1. Sometimes I'm not sure either. I feel hungover now, and even though I have another book to write, I'm taking a much needed break.

    1. I rearranged my publishing schedule to get my series out sooner. So, yes and no. LOL I planned the series but not at this pace initially.

  9. I hope somewhere on that Mother's Day weekend you managed some quiet tea time... Or maybe that would be stressful for you. Some people are much happier with lots to do.

  10. It's amazing how much you manage to do. Do you ever feel like doing nothing, or sleeping for a week, after everything you've done? :)

    1. Yes, I love to relax at night. During the day, I'm a workaholic.

  11. That's a very nice cover, Kelly! Like the poster of a DIVA movie. :) Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day as well. A day-planner, bookmarks and books -- your daughter really knows you well, lol!
