Monday Mishmash 6/5/17

Happy Monday! Monday Mishmash is a weekly meme dedicated to sharing what's on your mind. Feel free to grab the button and post your own Mishmash.

Here's what's on my mind today:
  1. Editing  I have a ton of client edits on my plate this month now that I'm finished drafting all the books I needed to write.
  2. Last week of school  My daughter finishes school on Thursday, so summer will officially be in full swing beginning Friday.
  3. Summer Schedule  Once Friday rolls around, I'll have to get used to working mornings instead of all day. It's never easy for me to adjust to this change in my schedule.
  4. It Was Always You  Yay! It Was Always You, book one in the Love Chronicles trilogy, goes up for preorder this week!
Aria Carmichael and Nate Dixon have the perfect friendship—completely ignoring the fact that they’ve been in love with each other for the better part of twelve years.
When a night filled with too many drinks lowers their inhibitions, they both question if they could take their relationship to a new level.
But a job opportunity threatens to put more than just physical distance between them. Will their romance end before it’s even truly begun?
  5. Another secret project!  I have yet another secret project I'll be taking part in. I can't give any details yet, but I'm excited. That's four secret projects I've committed to this year!
That's it for me. What's on your mind today?

  1. I don't have kids, but I'm pretty sure school here remains in session until the third week of June.

  2. The summer schedule is always an adjustment. With baby #3 on the way next month, this summer is all about getting used to the new family dynamic. I'm hoping to have some time to focus on the writing once fall rolls around. :)

School is still going on here for a few more weeks. Your daughter must be excited for vacation. :)

  4. My summers used to be a no-first-drafting time because the kids were home. Old habits die hard. You adjust much faster. And another secret project, wow. You can tell us...

  5. Hopefully you can have a fun, fun summer! Enjoy these summers while they last. Kids grow up SOOOO fast.

  6. More drafting here. Plus decided to give Camp NaNoWriMo another try next month. Not looking towards summer at all, since I still have to look for something to put my kids in and that's not too costly.

    1. My daughter is doing a basketball camp. Other than that, we'll be hanging out and taking trips.

  8. Congrats on the preorders! I hear you on #3. My difficult child was in a charter school this last year, and having him home means structuring out every day to the hour...or else. Yeah, you don't want to know what the "or else" becomes. I love the kid, but he almost ruined me as a parent forever. =)

    Wishing you sanity come Friday!
