Monday Mishmash 3/20/16

Happy Monday! Monday Mishmash is a weekly meme dedicated to sharing what's on your mind. Feel free to grab the button and post your own Mishmash.

Here's what's on my mind today:
  1. Editing  This month and next are packed with client edits for me. I'm loving it though because my clients write amazing books!
  2. YA Fest  I had a great time at YA Fest on Saturday. I met so many amazing authors and readers. Here are some pictures:
Kimberly Giarratano and me (Kim and I have talked online for years, but this is the first we've met in person.)

Dianne Salerni and me (Dianne and I have also talked online for years, but didn't meet until Saturday. I grabbed up her book The Eighth Day.)

Me with Jennifer Murgia (Jen is absolutely awesome and a total sweetheart. Love her!)

Holli Anderson and me (Holli and I shared a table. It was very nice meeting her.)
  3. School Signing  I have to schedule a day to go back to the elementary school I visited during Read Across America so I can sign books for the kids. I love this part!
  4. Revision  If I can squeeze it in, I'm going to revise my Ashelyn Drake hot romance title. This book has a high heat level!
  5. Happy Spring  Now let's hope the spring weather gets here soon!
That's it for me. What's on your mind today?

Monday Mishmash 3/13/17

Happy Monday! Monday Mishmash is a weekly meme dedicated to sharing what's on your mind. Feel free to grab the button and post your own Mishmash.

Here's what's on my mind today:
  1. Gifted: A Paranormal Collection  The boxed set I'm in with six other Limitless Publishing authors releases tomorrow! You can preorder Gifted now for only $.99 on Amazon
  2. Out of the Ashes FREE Today  Limitless Publishing made Out of the Ashes free this past weekend. The price will go back up sometime today though. Grab it here while you can.
  3. Entangled Souls by Dorothy Dreyer  If you haven't heard about the Runes Kindle World, I'm not sure where you've been hiding. ;) I love the Runes series, and yes, I do edit it as well. Today I want to share the cover of Dorothy Dreyer's title in the Runes Kindle World.
Her whole life, Lexi has known that the voices she hears in her head—omens and harbingers of important things to come—are part of being a witch. But what she doesn’t know is that a soul has escaped its reaping while on her family’s property. When handsome stranger Caden shows up on his motorcycle to tour the vineyard she grew up on, she isn’t aware that he is a Valkyrie searching for the lost soul. All she knows is that the deep attraction she feels for him is undeniable.

When Caden finds out Lexi is a witch and asks her to help him track down the soul, Lexi must come to terms with the fact that Caden is immortal and decide if her feelings for a soul reaper are worth the risks.
  4. Snowstorm  We are expecting a big snowstorm tonight through Wednesday. If I go quiet, it means I lost power.
  5. Editing  I'm busy editing for a client this week.
  6. YA Fest  I'll be at YA Fest on Saturday. If you're in the Easton, PA area, come see me.
That's it for me. What's on your mind today?

Monday Mishmash 10/3/16

Happy Monday! Monday Mishmash is a weekly meme dedicated to sharing what's on your mind. Feel free to grab the button and post your own Mishmash.

Here's what's on my mind today:
  1. After Loving You Release Day!  It's finally here! After Loving You is officially out in the world today. You can grab a copy on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or wherever you prefer to buy your books.
  2. YA Fest  I'm happy to announce I'll be at YA Fest on March 18, 2017! I'm so excited to be part of this event again.
  3. Editing  I have a lot of edits on my plate this month. Luckily I really enjoy my clients' work.
  4. October  My favorite month is here. I love the smell of October. Sorry to all you pumpkin lovers, though. I'm not a fan of pumpkin anything, unless it's a pumpkin to put out on display. But hey, that means more for you guys. ;)
  5. Allergies  While I love fall, it doesn't love me. The allergy headaches have begun.
That's it for me. What's on your mind today?

Monday Mishmash 10/12/15

Happy Monday! Monday Mishmash is a weekly meme dedicated to sharing what's on your mind. Feel free to grab the button and post your own Mishmash.

Here's what's on my mind today:
  1. MG Alien Twitter Pitches  Okay, MG authors, Leap Books Seek and I are looking for your Twitter pitch for middle grade alien books. Tweet me @kellyhashway with your MG alien pitch. If I'm interested, I'll reply with where to send sample pages. I'll be taking pitches today through Friday.
  2. Drafting  I'm attempting to draft a book between edits—well, I should say around edits because I'm still editing. Last Friday, I managed to get in 10,000 words and it felt amazing!
  3. Branding?  You know that draft I just mentioned? Well, it's an adult thriller. Apparently, I'm refusing to let Kelly Hashway be branded as a YA paranormal author. I can't help but write the stories that come to me, no matter what they are.
  4. Reading  I spend a lot of time reading. Between the books I edit for clients and the submissions for Seek, I read constantly. Of course that means I don't get to read a lot of new releases though. I'm going to attempt to change that. Wish me luck—and a few extra hours in my day.
  5. YA Fest  I attended YA Fest on Saturday and got to spend some time with readers and fellow authors. I had a great time. Here are some pictures from the event.
My table. (I signed the Touch of Death trilogy, The Monster Within duology, and Our Little Secret.)

Lisa Amowitz, Martina Boone, and me

The very awesome Brooke Watts DelVecchio and me
That's it for me. What's on your mind today?

Monday Mishmash 4/21/14

Happy Monday! Here's my mishmash of thoughts:

1. YA Fest  On Saturday, I attended YA Fest with 49 other authors. It was crazy awesome. I got to meet my Month9Books family who I've talked to online but never met in person before.
Pab Sungenis, Jackie Kessler, Me, Jen McConnel, Janice Bashman, and Donna Gallanti

I also finally met Jennifer Armentrout in person, which was awesome since she blurbed my Touch of Death series for me.

Kate Kaynak photo bombed a picture, giving Lisa Amowitz bunny ears. ;)

So, I took a picture with Kate.

The lovely Kimberly Miller was nice enough to take a picture of me at my table.

I got a nice surprise when my friend and fellow author, Beth Consugar, showed up. We'd never met in person before.

Here's me with YA Fest founder, Jennifer Murgia, who happened to blurb The Monster Within for me.

And here I am with the totally sweet Jen McConnel. Seriously, what a sweetheart!

And that's probably way more pictures than you wanted to see, but I had an absolute blast and had to share.

2.  Monroe County Book Expo  I'll be at the Hughes branch of the Eastern Monroe County Library on Saturday from 10am-3pm signing copies of all my books, PB through YA, and my Ashelyn Drake title, Campus Crush.

3.  Editing  I'm editing for clients this week along with working on revisions for two of my books. April has been such a busy month for me.

That's it for me. What's on your mind today?
