And one more of my favs:
What song best fits your current WIP?
Great videos. I'll look up the other songs since I'm not familiar with all of them.
ReplyDeleteGlad you like them, Medeia!
DeleteI'm only familiar with Linkin Park. I'm definitely going to check out the other songs.
ReplyDeleteI hope you like them. :)
DeleteInteresting to see the songs that inspire you! There are many familiar songs and they all are great! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you think so. :)
DeleteThe zombie is great!
DeleteI love that one! :)
DeleteThese look great, eminently suitable!! :) But, oh dear, am I showing my age when I admit that I only recognized a couple of them? oh dear, oh dear......
ReplyDeleteNo, you're not. Some of these songs were new to me before I tracked them down for the playlist.
DeleteThis is such a fun way to promote the book! People love relating to music, especially young people!
ReplyDeleteMusic does seem to be one of the things everyone can relate to. :)
DeleteLove the playlist idea, especially for the YA market. So many writers are inspired by music, really, no matter what the genre.
ReplyDeleteYes, music inspires so many.
DeleteGreat list, Kelly. I've always thought seeing a book playlist is a peek behind the curtain. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a great way to look at it.
DeleteGreat list. I love Linkin Park, Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin. In never thought of playlist for my book but there's this song on my iPhone that's become the theme song for one of my characters. It's his fight song.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I love associating songs with my characters.
DeleteWhat's great about your post is your association with music! I am so connected to music as I write, I wouldn't know what to do without it.
ReplyDeleteI love to listen to music before and after I write. It really inspires me.
DeleteWow. It's like you just picked some of my favorite bands right out of my head :D
ReplyDeleteThis is a great playlist!
Glad you like it, Samantha!
DeleteOh I love Linkin Park. I'll go check out the other songs on the list.
ReplyDeleteMine is How to Save a Life by The Fray
Great one, Cecilia. :) Guess what I've been reading all day. ;)
DeleteHope it is treating you kind *biting nails nervously*
DeleteYes, it is. No worries. :)
DeleteHow fun to see the playlist! I know Linkin Park- but many of the other songs and artists are new to me. I will have to listen!
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
DeleteWow, this is like totally Young Adult and relevant in terms of music choices for your core market. However, wouldn't Nirvana had made the grade had you're book been written fifteen years ago? In fact, aren't Nirvana the perennial young Americans friend?
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! :)
DeletePretty awesome playlist. It's big fun to put one together, eh?
ReplyDeleteSo much fun! :)
DeleteQuite a selection!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if a song would fit my MS... maybe I'd have to veer over to classical music and go with something really brooding and stormy...
Broody and stormy is good!
DeleteThis playlist is awesome! I've been listening to the songs all day long ;)
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm so glad you like it. :)
DeleteIt also makes me to think of how great your book must be! Can't wait to read it! :)
DeleteAw, thank you! I really appreciate that. :)
