- Happy birthday to my mom! Yesterday was my mom's birthday. She's the most amazing mother and friend. She reads all my work in its raw form and never hesitates to push me to be better. She's supportive, encouraging, and loving.
- Teacher assignments My daughter's kindergarten teacher moved up to first grade and my daughter is in her class again. She couldn't be happier, which of course makes me happy.
- Reading My reading took a huge hit this summer. I've never been this busy, and my reading is suffering. I'm still reading two books at once, but it's taking forever to get through them because I have so little time. :(
- Edits I feel like every time I finish an edit, I get another to replace it. Wouldn't be a problem if I wasn't doing multiple edits to begin with. Seriously, if I didn't love editing so much, I would've ripped my hair out by now.
- Touch of Death series Big things are in the works for the Touch of Death series. I can't tell you more yet, but I'm really excited about it. :) I'll share more as soon as I can.
That's it for me. What's on your mind today?
Tell me! Tell me! Tell me!!!
ReplyDeleteLOL You usually end up knowing my news before everyone else.
DeleteSo glad to hear things went well for your daughter's class assignment.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear your news. Good luck with edits!
Thanks on all three accounts, Misha!
DeleteNow this is intriguing!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your amazing mum.
Thanks, Nas!
DeleteGlad things are going well. I hope this continues for you.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Terrie!
DeleteI'm on vacation at an amazing place by the sea. Massage and boat ride today. Enjoy this last bit of August!
ReplyDeleteLucky you! Enjoy!
DeleteTake a breath and give yourself a little hug! Say no sometimes, too. It is OK!
ReplyDeleteIgnore this. I would hate if someone gave me advice like this!
Happy Birthday to your mom, hope her day is special! And I can't wait to hear your news- my mind automatically jumped to you either posing on the red carpet, or accepting a very shiny writer's award. =)
ReplyDeleteNeither of those. lol This is good news for fans though.
DeleteBut at least you LOVE the busy work of editing! Means you're a successful editor! Congrats! Glad your daughter really lucked out with the same teacher she loves. Happy birthday to your mom! Can't wait to find out your good news!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Allyn.
DeleteYour mother sounds wonderful. I wish her the best birthday.
ReplyDeleteGrab a book, run away and hide in another room, and get that reading done!
:)
I did just that last night. ;)
DeleteHappy birthday to your mom! :) And I'm totally curious about your news!
ReplyDeleteI'll be sure to share as soon as I can.
DeleteThat's so cool for your daughter, I wish I could've repeated teachers that I loved and felt comfortable with.
ReplyDeleteFamily visits - there is much regret when they are too short, but I have a suspicion there would be more regret if they were too long.
I've repeated teachers. My 7th grade English teacher moved up to 11th grade and I got to have her again. :)
DeleteA happy birthday to your mother!
ReplyDeleteThanks, William.
DeleteGood luck with your edits. Can't wait to hear about your big news!
ReplyDeletelooking forward to your TOD news!
ReplyDeleteI commiserate with your lack of time and inability to read as much as you'd like. Big things on your series? Oh! How exciting! I can't wait to hear. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm really excited about it and can't wait to share more. :)
DeleteA happy daughter makes for a happy mother. :)

I'm reading through my YA contemporary for hopefully the last time, looking at notes from my crit partners, and getting it ready to submit.
Have a nice week.

DeleteHappy Birthday to your mom and happy to hear your daughter will be with the same teacher again! As for my Monday, it's the beginning of a new work week and lots of reviews and writing to be done. I'm looking forward to catching up with everything come Labor Day weekend!

DeleteSounds like great news... Can't wait to find out.
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Birthday to your mom, who deserves a huge one for having raised such a talented and productive daughter. I have no doubt you are passing her legacy to your daughter.

DeleteYes, I'm relieved the first day will be a little easier than it is for most kids. We already know what to expect from her teacher and we're happy about that.
