Happy Monday! Here's my mishmash of thoughts:
- Tuesday Night TV I have four shows on Tuesday nights! Pretty Little Liars, Ravenswood, The Originals, and Supernatural are all on Tuesday nights. Just my luck. Yes, they run at the same time, which means I'll be watching two of them on Wednesdays.
- Nothing To Tell Cover and Trailer Reveal I'm organizing the cover and trailer reveal of the final and FREE installment of the Campus Crush Series by Ashelyn Drake. Want to participate? Sign up here.
- Crossroads Blog Tour Yesterday was the official start of the Crossroads Blog Tour hosted by Judith Graves. I'm joining a bunch of authors for this tour and the grand prize is a Kindle loaded with all our books. Don't miss out.
- Announcement Coming November 6 I've hinted that I have an announcement to make. It's coming November 6th.
- Cricket's Drive Around Town Trailer My next picture book, Cricket's Drive Around Town, is set to release December 3, 2013 through FutureWord Publishing. Here's the trailer my publisher made for the book.
That's it for me. What's on your mind today?
Fun title for your upcoming release. Let me know when it's out and I'll tweet about it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Vanessa!
DeleteCool trailer. Emailing you.
ReplyDeleteI second that, Kelly, I wish I had your way with picture books. Your publisher did a good job of the trailer, speaking of which, I never knew how you felt about the other two of the three trailers I did for Gabriel. I'm glad Rum's came out great (He apparently is a favorite among out mutual writer friends) but I do wonder what people think of Gabriel and Mr. Quint's trailers.
DeleteThanks, Beth
DeleteTaurean, I have to get over there and watch them. Heading there now. Sorry about that.
DeleteI understand. Life's been crazy on my end, too. Read your comments before running errands, glad those came off well, too. I was really worried about Gabriel's trailer as I didn't want him to sound too young or old, the actor I found really got the tone right.
DeleteI liked the trailer. I thought it was neat that the scene where the cricket is peaking in the classroom and the teacher is reading your other PB May the Best Dog Win, is on the bookshelf.
ReplyDeleteDawn, it's actually a library, but I loved when I saw the illustrations and May the Best Dog Win was on the bookshelf. So cool of my illustrator to do that. :)
DeleteThat was so cool of your illustrator. I love easter eggs in books. in many of the original Arthur books (Before the PBS series) Marc Brown hid his kid's names in the background. Some of them I found, but didn't know what they meant until he did a bit on the show that explained it.
DeleteSome of them are obvious, but others I would never have found on my own, illustrators can really clever, can't they?
Taurean, Ayla and I love finding the names in the Arthur books. :)
DeleteOh and I love The Vampire Diaries so can't wait to watch The Originals...just haven't had time but I will be recording them.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I have to record it because Pretty Little Liars is my favorite show. It creeps me out and I love that. ;)
DeleteYou will probably think me a total chump, but I only recently started watching Supernatural. WTHeck? How could I have been missing this all these years? So...my daughter and I have been watching episodes on Netflix. We're almost at Season 3. I'm getting antsy.
ReplyDeleteThe beginning season were so much better in my mind. They used to be scary/creepy. Now it's more gory. It kind of makes me sad.
DeleteI love the title of your PB- so cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Leandra!
Deletewhat a cute trailer - great illustrations and fun music. (I like how May the Best Dig Win was on the library shelf too!)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I love that people are noticing May the Best Dog Win on the shelf. I did, but that was to be expected. ;)
DeleteThis is one smashing MONDAY MISHMASH graphic, Kelly!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mirka. :)
DeleteLots of exciting stuff going on, as always Kelly :) Congrats on your next PB!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Meradeth!
DeleteGreat stuff! Just started writing sequel to new book. Hard work!
ReplyDeleteYay! Good luck!
DeleteUgh, don't you hate when all the shows you love are all on at the same time on the same day? I feel that way with Project Runway, Scandal, Elementary and Parenthood. Not to mention The Walking Dead, Homeland and Revenge. Why do they do that to us? LOL :-)
ReplyDeleteI guess they think everyone has DVR. ;)
DeleteLove the Cricket's Drive Around Town Trailer! The song suits it too. :D
ReplyDeleteCongrats Kelly!
Thanks, Diane!
DeleteYou are one busy lady! Congrats on selling another PB and the awesome trailer. I wish you huge success! :-)
ReplyDeleteCongrats, Kelly! :) Signed up for the reveal and I look forward to that.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cecilia!
DeleteBusy as always. Can't wait to hear your new announcement. :)
ReplyDeleteI love it! I can't wait to read it!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!!!!
Thanks, Covina!
DeleteAs usual, you are quite busy. Cute trailer, and I look forward to hearing your new news. As for what I'm watching, it's Sleepy Hollow. What a hoot!
ReplyDeleteI haven't checked out Sleepy Hollow, but I heard it was good.
DeleteI never thought of a cricket as cute, but yours is. I was tapping my toe to the music too. A fun story. And all your other news is interesting. You're quite busy. Have a super week.
ReplyDeleteThanks. My illustrator did a great job with it. :)
DeleteCongratulations on your book promo. The video is really cute!
ReplyDeleteCute trailer! Can't wait to hear about your announcement!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Karen.
DeleteA fun teaser!
ReplyDeleteNice thing about computers these days: being able to watch programs that are on conflicting schedules.
Yes. I'm grateful for that since all my shows are on the same night.
DeleteAn announcement, eh? Hm. I'm looking forward to Originals starting here next week. Looks good. Great trailer for your picture book.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Fi!
DeleteI can't wait to read your announcement.
ReplyDeleteI miss TV. I wish there were more time to watch it.
I don't watch much, and now that the shows I like are on at the same time, I suspect I'll end up dropping a few because I won't keep up with watching them on my own on a different night.
DeleteI don't suppose you could watch them on Hulu later, could you?
DeleteIf not, do what I do, get them on DVD/Blu-ray. The ones you really love are worth it.
Despite statistics that say streaming is king, not everything is (Legally...) available to stream, or only for a limited time.
Besides, buying the discs is another way to support those who make what you love in the first place, and I can watch whenever I want, in whatever order I want, and no commercials.
I try to limit my television watching, which has been easier when my older favorite shows are available to stream or on DVD. The one show I'm addicted to network-wise is The Legend of Korra, that I will MAKE time for, and if I can't watch right when it airs, I record it for the next day.
I also watch a lot of cooking shows, as food's my other pastime when it's not writing or learning about writing.
