Happy Monday! Here's my mishmash of thoughts:
- Speaking at Middle Smithfield Elementary I'll be reading and speaking at Middle Smithfield Elementary School this morning. This is my daughter's school, but I was invited to read and talk to a fourth grade class. I'm excited. :)
- Reviewers Wanted I'm looking for reviewers for the third book in the Campus Crush companion series, which I write under the pen name Ashelyn Drake. It's called Rushing Into Love, and it's my favorite book in the series. Since it's a companion series, you don't have to read them in order. I'm willing to gift copies in exchange for reviews on Amazon and B&N. Leave a comment if you are interested. Obviously I can't gift an unlimited number of copies, so it will be the first four of five people who contact me.
- Deliciously Dark YA Blog I was asked to join a team of YA authors for a joint blog called Deliciously Dark YA. I'm very excited to be joining a great list of authors. More on this later.
- Pen Names On Wednesday, I'll be sharing how I came up with the pen name, Ashelyn Drake. There was a method to creating this name that was actually a lot of fun. Come back Wednesday to find out what it was.
- Campus Crush Series Blog Tour The blog tour for my Campus Crush Series (written under my pen name, Ashelyn Drake) is this week. It's hosted by Irresistible Reads Book Tours, and there's a giveaway of the gift card variety and lots of fun, so check it out. Here's the schedule:

Lots going on Kelly! Good luck with your joint blog. Dark is good. lol
ReplyDeleteThanks! Yes, dark is good. ;)
DeleteYou've got a lot going on. That's great! Good luck at the school. I've been working on the second book in a series and not updating my blog. Ugh Blogger has been awful. I'd like to read the third book in the Campus Crush series. I'll give you an honest review.
ReplyDeleteDawn, that's great. Thanks. I'll stop by your blog to get your email address so I can send you a copy.
Deletegood luck at your speaking engagement. I'm talking to a middle school group next week and am looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Good luck to you too!
DeleteYou are a busy little author, that's wonderful. Goodluck with everything!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Allyn!
DeleteFeel free to do a guest post for my blog. My e-mail is eeriestories75(at)gmail(dot)com.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Vanessa. I might take you up on that once things calm down over here.
DeleteI hope your visit with the school went well, this morning. I'm sure it did. Elementary school kiddos are so friendly and inviting. They ask funny questions, too!
ReplyDeleteI showed up this morning and found out it's tomorrow. They said Monday, but they thought Monday was the 19th. ;) So, I'll be going tomorrow morning instead. I'm excited for it.
DeleteI can't wait to hear how you came up with the name, Ashelyn Drake. Good stuff! And I have to say I've read them all and RUSHING INTO LOVE is definitely my favorite :-)
ReplyDeleteP.S. Best of luck with the 4th graders!
Thanks. Ben seems to be the favorite guy among the Campus Crush men. ;)
DeleteOh, 4th graders. That can be a tough crowd. Best of luck though I'm sure you'll do fine. :)
ReplyDeleteWay to make me nervous, Sarah! No, I'm just kidding. I work with the PTO at my daughter's school all the time, so it's a total no-stress school visit.
DeleteHi Kelly, Congrats on joining the DD group, and on your tour! If you need another reviewer beyond what you have, shoot a copy over to me. Mobi?
ReplyDeleteYou got it, Catherine. I'll send it over now. Thank you!
DeleteThe blog tours looks brilliant. I'll be interested to hear how you came up with your pen name. This week is about putting in some serious hours to finish this draft this month. No NaNoWriMo for me this year.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I'm looking forward to sharing my madness. ;)
DeleteGood luck finishing your draft. You don't need to NaNo because you are writing anyway. I feel like NaNo is more for people who need that extra push. Maybe that's just me though.
Good luck with the speaking, review-hunting, and book touring! I'm sure the new blog group will be fun - their name is awesome! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lexa. :)
DeleteVisiting the school sounds like fun. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great tour, too.
Congrats on joining the new group. :)
Thanks, Beverly!
DeleteI read your blog this morning (Monday). If you need a book review, I'm available. I place my reviews on both Amazon and B&N. Just email me!
ReplyDeleteAnita, I will. Thanks so much!
DeleteBy the way, Congrats again, and good luck tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteKelly, I admire you. You have always so much going on and still you have time for your readers. That's great :)
ReplyDeleteI always have time for my readers. They are some of my favorite people. :)
DeleteAs always Kelly, you're an inspiration. You always have a lot going on with your books! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you, Auden!
DeletePen names have a life to their own, don't they?
ReplyDeleteTotally! :)
DeleteSounds like you are super busy, Kelly! That's great news about the school visits. They are always a blast and the children are the best to give presentations too=) Love to see the excitement and wonder light up their faces.
ReplyDeleteI love school visits. And I was asked to speak to another class right after the first one, so I got to see two groups. So much fun. :)
DeleteHave fun at the school visit! I imagine that those are the best. And neato on the joint blogging, I always enjoy those types of blogs w/several contributors.
ReplyDeleteThanks. It was a lot of fun.
DeleteI love joint blogs. I'm on three now. lol
I'm at a local school too, talking to the parents about the importance of reading. Sad that so many of them don't read...so how can they expect their kids to read.....
ReplyDeleteThe littles ones love to read, so that makes visiting them a lot of fun.
DeleteI'm really looking forward to Wednesday's post about how you chose a pen name. Stories about such are legend.
ReplyDelete:) I hope you enjoy it.
