Happy Monday! Here's my mishmash of thoughts:
1. The Monster Within I got to proof the galley (in .pdf form) for The Monster Within. It looks beautiful and I can't wait to hold it in my hands soon.
2. BEA I'll be signing with two publishers at BEA this year. I can't tell you how happy this makes me. :)
3. Author Events I have two events booked for April, and I'm working on a fall tour with another author. So exciting!
4. Revise, Edit, Draft, Repeat! I'm so busy right now. I'm revising one of my own books, editing for a client, and plotting a book I need to draft.
5. Challenging Destiny Cover Reveal My fellow Darkly Delicious YA author, Cherie Colyer has a new book coming out this spring with Wild Rose Press. Check out Challenging Destiny!
Logan Ragsdale and his younger sister, Ariana, have been marked,
chosen to be unwilling participants in a war between angels and demons. Logan
can sense something's not quite right. Like an unexpected chill on a summer's
day, he can feel the unseen closing in. He's had these feelings before and,
each time, someone close to him died. He's afraid this time it might just be
Ariana. Logan's fears are soon confirmed when he discovers their new friends
aren't human, but rather representatives from Heaven and Hell sent to Earth to
ensure he and Ariana accept their roles in an ancient prophecy. Demons want
Logan to open the gates of Hell. Ariana has the power to stop them, but if she
chooses to side with Heaven to spare the lives of thousands of innocent people,
she'll damn her brother for eternity. Together, they must derail the biblical
event if they hope to save themselves and the future of mankind...but what
price are they willing to pay to keep the other safe?
That's it for me. What's on your mind today?
Some brilliant things happening for you.
ReplyDeleteI'm working on my latest commissioned murder mystery play. Second short deadline this year but I can do it. Just have to get my devious headset on.
Have a great week.
Good luck, Fi. I know you'll meet that deadline. :)
DeleteI like your new layout!!! Still awaiting birth of first grand daughter, now a week late.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Carol!
DeleteUgh, late is never comfortable for the mother. I hope both she's doing okay.
Such exciting news as usual. Keep up the good work, girl.
ReplyDeleteI'll try, Vanessa. ;)
DeleteLooks like you're ultra busy Kelly. Enjoy it all.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a very busy year so far for me, but I guess that's a good thing, right?
DeleteTwo publishers? That's fantastic, Kelly. This week, I'm putting aside my one WIP for a couple of days to revisit the other with fresh eyes. From here on, I'll be working on them in tandem.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with both, Karen!
DeleteTwo signings at BEA, what fun!
ReplyDeleteYes! I'm very excited. :)
DeleteSounds like you've been really busy, can't wait for THE MONSTER WITHIN to come out!!
ReplyDeleteI really love The Monster Within so I'm really excited and nervous for it to come out.
DeleteSo many exciting things! Congrats!! And Challenging Destiny looks fabulous :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Meradeth. CD does look great.
DeleteLet's think happy spring thoughts and think of BEA...
ReplyDeleteHave fun in the editing cave :-)
I need spring. Just the thought of more snow tonight and tomorrow is making me want to cry. I need the sun.
DeleteThis week I'm dialing back from all but the most necessary tasks before I become a curmudgeonly mess. I know we always talk about being busy every day. But if I don't take a step back I'll be a monster no one can live with.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. Take some time to yourself.
DeleteSo excited for you Kelly!
ReplyDeleteThis is revision week for me--revising my PB on child hunger and my PB on Matt the Rat, and finishing the revision of the first 16 chapters of my YA WIP. Then it's write, write, write. I am so far behind--sigh.
Good luck, Sherry! I'm sure you'll get it all done.
DeleteYay for book galleys. It's so nice to see them. Have fun at BEA and all your other forthcoming events. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Beverly!
DeleteHave fun at BEA!
ReplyDeleteCherie's book sounds intense!
Love that cover! :)
ReplyDeleteAuthor events are so much fun! I'm in the middle of booking a few readings over the next few months:) Looking forward to The Monster Within release, Kelly!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gina! Readings are so much fun. Good luck!
DeleteI love seeing all this good news! One of these days I'll make it to BEA but I'll be happy to live through you. :)
ReplyDeleteBEA is the one event I think every author should go to at least once. Personally, I hope I go every year. I was like a kid in a toy store. ;)
Delete2 book signings at BEA and 2 author events- that's awesome! Congrats :D
ReplyDeleteThanks, Auden!
DeleteThat is one knock-your-socks-and-everything-else-off cover, ey? I's sure Cherie is pleased.
ReplyDeleteI hope your April events will be great and then some.
Thanks, Mirka. I'm sure Cherie is pleased too.
DeleteSuch great news. This busyness with events and manuscripts sounds awesome.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm excited. :)
