Writer Wednesday: Street Team Voting Time

Thank you to everyone who signed up for my Street Team and/or made a suggestion for the name. I really appreciate all the help. If you haven't signed up yet but would like to, you can do so here

Now, on to the name. Here's a list of my favorite names that people came up with. Help me decide by voting for your favorite. And...if you can think of something better, enter it in the "other" choice and type your proposed name.

One last question for you to answer in the comments. What should I do to thank my Street Team members for signing up? Host a giveaway just for them? Shower them with SWAG? Dedicate my next book to them? I'm open to suggestions.

  1. Those are all awesome names! I'd be happy with whatever you decided to give. LOL I know I'm being difficult here. LOL

  2. Have voted. Some good ideas there.

  3. I've seen different authors do different things for their street teams. Some do a giveaway every month, some do free swag, some, if small enough, guarantee an ARC of the next book. It all depends.

  7. My write in vote is for "The Order of Abnormal Reverie" I think it's versatile and open to the wide variety in the fantasy cannon yet still specific since "Fantasy" at its core is about the abnormal amidst the normal, knowingly or unknowingly right?

  8. I don't know exactly because I'm wondering about this last question myself... maybe offer them a choice between a free book bundle and some other swag??

  12. Dedicating the book seems most appropriate. I voted for Kelly's Coven.

  14. Shower them with swag, have a Google+ Hangout party, and a book dedication all seem like great thank-yous.

    1. That's the one that came from behind to be one of the top three. People seem to like it. :)

  19. I've voted for 'heroes' but on the marketing/publicizing side, a name with 'hashtags' might get you more hits (even if it's not my favourite) ...

    1. You know someone just told me that "hashtags" made the list of words people don't want to hear anymore in 2014. Hmm...

  20. I couldn't pick two! I picked hashtags--very catchy but I also liked Kelly's Coven.

I think books and swag are great gifts for a street team. I'd try and give them different swag something they could only get for being on a street team. I'd also let them get arcs but I think that's part of being on a street team?
