Monday Mishmash 3/24/14

Happy Monday! Here's my mishmash of thoughts:

1. Touch of Death for $0.99!!! Yes, you read that correctly. Touch of Death is only $0.99 on Kindle. Get it here.

2. Need To Read  I've created a new meme over at YA Bound called Need To Read. On the first Tuesday of each month, I'll feature releases from that month that I'm excited to read. You can join me by grabbing the button and posting your Need To Read list on the first Tuesday of each month.

3. Catching up on my TBR list  I have three books to review this week as I try to catch up on my TBR pile.

4. Drafting  I'm drafting a new idea but I'm doing it between a lot of other stuff, which is not typical for me. I hope this works. lol

5. My Tethered Soul Cover Reveal  Dorothy Dreyer had a cover reveal on Friday. Check out the cover and blurb for My Tethered Soul. (I'm looking forward to this one!)

It’s been months since Zadie faced her sister’s Reaper, months during which she’s been under her mentor’s magical protection. But now that she’s turning seventeen, that protection is about to run out.

When dark forces lure Zadie to wander at night, she’s manipulated into committing unspeakable acts. With her friends and family at risk, Zadie must try to use her powers to break free from the Reaper’s grasp, or surrender to the Reaper’s Rite, which can only lead to death.
That's it for me. What's on your mind today?

  1. I always need to read. This week, I'm continuing with the murder mystery play I'm writing (2 acts down, 1 to go) and redrafting my novel. Lovely spring sunshine here, if a tad chilly, which always makes me smile.

    1. We had a nice day on Saturday, enjoying the sunshine and being outside. It got up to 60 degrees. I wish those temperatures would stay.

  2. I started drafting another idea over the weekend. I wanted to finish my novel and catch up on my TBR list, but the images and thoughts just wouldn't quit poking at me until I laid them out on paper. But the good thing is that I'm almost done with my novel and will take a break to catch up on my TBR list for sure! Happy Monday, Kelly!

    1. Some ideas are so demanding, aren't they? ;) Good luck finishing your novel. I'm glad you'll be taking some time to read when you're finished. You deserve it.

    1. When I say catch up I really mean make a small indentation that's only visible in the right lighting. ;)

    1. I think it will be fun. Hopefully others will take part.

Drafting has already been pushed aside to proof this gorgeous ARC of The Monster Within that arrived yesterday. Not complaining at all though as I pet my pretty book. :)

  16. You must have read my mind, because catching up on my to-read pile is at the top of my to-do. This will have to be the week for it.

  17. Is the need to read to promote new books or to list whatever three you want to read that month? Sort of like goal setting?

    1. It focuses on new books releasing that month. The idea is these are the books we've been waiting to read and now we can because they are releasing that month. :)
