Happy Monday! Here's my mishmash of thoughts:
1. Finishing the draft of Up in Flames Yesterday I finished the first draft of the third book in the Birth of the Phoenix series. It felt so good to be drafting, and reaching the end is bittersweet.
2. Many Sides of Medusa Blog Hop March 15th-30th Heather Lyons and I are hosting a blog hop to show you Medusa as we see her in our YA and NA books: The Touch of Death series and The Deep End of the Sea. There will be door prizes and a giveaway for two gift cards and tons of awesome SWAG. Want to participate? Sign up in the form below.
3. Reading My reward for finishing the draft of Up in Flames is to finish reading Divergent. Yes, I know I'm behind in my TBR pile. I want to read it before I see the movie though.
4. The "S" word. I'm so over winter. Who's with me?

That's it for me. What's on your mind today?
I'm signed up for your Medusa blog hop and yes, I'm looking forward to spring too. Got a new murder mystery script to start this week, set in a Santa's Grotto in a department store. May have to get out the Christmas decorations to get myself in the right mind frame.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Fi! I really appreciate you signing up.
DeleteOh wow! That sounds like so much fun—well, not the murder part. ;) Bring out those decorations!
You've finished another draft. I wish I could get out of my own way and just write like you do. Guess I have another goal to set for this year. :) Signed up for your Medusa discussion. (If at all possible, later on in March would be better for me. THX)
ReplyDeleteSheri, the posting date will be up to you. We want to make it easy for everyone, and I know some people (like me) have blog schedules to fit this into. :) I appreciate you signing up.
DeleteI haven't drafted in a while because of edits and I was dying to fit this in. That was great motivation. Good luck fitting a new book into your schedule.
I'm behind on my reading list too, Kelly! When Summer gets here, I'll read plenty on the beach. :)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like heaven!
DeleteI should read Divergent, too. I wish there were more hours in a day so I could read more :D
ReplyDeleteI'll have to be the devil's advocate and just say that winter can stick around for quite awhile!
ReplyDeleteWilliam, I used to like you.
DeleteHave fun in the Many Sides of Medusa hop! Sounds like a real hoot!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Catherine!
DeleteI'm all for winter ending. Sunlight/fresh air depravation at an all time low, LOL :-)
ReplyDeleteYes, I need some sun.
DeleteI'm working with my editor on Gabriel again (After a prolonged break late last year) and I couldn't be happier.
ReplyDeleteI also did two more fan book trailers (You can find them all via this link-

Hope you'll get a chance to check them out soon, Kelly.
I'm glad things are moving along again!
DeleteI finished Divergent finally, but have sooo many more on my list. Just started Kindar's Cure.
ReplyDeleteI just finished Divergent a minute ago. :) I really enjoyed it and have to get the next book.
DeleteMichelle will be so happy to hear you're reading Kindar's Cure.
Congrats on finishing your draft and rewarding yourself with Divergent! The giveaway is awesome, and the Medusa hop sounds great! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lexa!
DeleteFinishing a draft is like winning the lottery. A great feeling. Congratulations. I haven't read Divergent. Must get busy on my stack of books to read.:)
ReplyDeleteYes, it feel great. :)
DeleteI'm interested in Divergent only because of the movie. I'll probably see the movie first. Congratulations on the first draft. That's a great achievement.
ReplyDeleteI like to read the books first because movies always leave things out.
DeleteThat's true. Normally, I would read the book first. That's what I did on "Hunger Games."
DeleteThat's a great list of books you have there, some of my favorites! I can't wait to see the Divergent move either :)
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to it too.
DeleteI was just wondering today what the weather would be like in April. Prolly cold and rainy. But that's when I'm going to a writing conference, and I would so like to be able to go in short sleeves and sandals! And surely, surely, there couldn't be snow then. *knocks on wood*
ReplyDeleteThere better not be snow in April. I'll cry!
DeleteJust stopping by because sometimes you do it for me. I will try to post about the blog hop and am more than willing to tweet about it. But I had to stop doing feature and follow Friday because I found it too complex. I posted for someone's book once and couldn't believe how many hits it got. Way more than my usual blog. I cannot understand where it went to cause that.
ReplyDeleteMore hits is a good thing. :) Thanks for dropping by and for offering to help with the hop, Virginia!
DeleteI think I signed up for your blog tour. If I didn't you can sign me up. Can I be a member of darkly delicious?
ReplyDeleteNo problem.
DeleteDarkly Delicious YA is for authors with YA paranormal or horror books out. If you write one, then I might be able to get you a spot if we have any openings.
Great list of books, Kelly!
ReplyDeleteAll the best with your tour. Looking forward to reading the posts.
I have grabby hands to read the new book. Ah, the perks of being your agent. :)
ReplyDelete:) I'm putting it away for a while and going back to revisions on book two once I get notes from my beta reader this week. I like to be able to let a manuscript sit for a while before revisions. I see so much more that way.
DeleteYes, spring, please, bring it on! This winter feels like its been eternal!
ReplyDeleteI know. Way too long. I want some 60-degree weather.
Delete^Another bang-up Monday!
ReplyDeleteHere on the west coast our winter seemed to have just started... not trying to make everyone move here, but it's true.
Chin up. Short of moving, this will pass until it comes back again, and again.
I'm having an addition put on my house, and it's supposed to happen next month, but if winter doesn't end soon… *sigh*
DeleteWinter needs to end. I am so sick of snow and I'm tired of being cold. And, it looks like we're expecting more now here this weekend. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteWe're supposed to get a few flurries. Nothing major. Thankfully! I'm done with snow and winter.
DeleteSo many great things going on here for Monday, Kelly! Sorry I'm a little late. I'm so over this weather. Already had to reschedule a couple of my author visits and you know how much of an inconvenience this can by, I'm sure! Until I figure out my blog and how in the heck I can start doing blog hops and reviews, I will be tweeting away for you=) Happy Monday & Tuesday!!
ReplyDeleteI don't think you can be late in the blogosphere. :) No worries. You are so amazing at tweeting posts, Gina. I really appreciate it.
DeleteEnjoy Divergent! It has been on my list for a long time!
ReplyDeleteThe Medusa Hop sounds very intriguing. :) I am done with winter too! Let's bring on the warmer weather.
I really enjoyed Divergent. I need the next book now. :)
