- The Monster Within Release Tomorrow! Tomorrow is the big day! I wrote The Monster Within the first twelve days of 2012, and I signed with Spencer Hill Press the following September. It's been a long wait, and I'm so excited to share Sam and Ethan's story with you all.
- Face of Death is the Kindle Big Deal Face of Death is part of the Kindle Big Deal June 13 through June 28th! That means you can grab a copy for only $2.99! Get yours here. Oh, and Touch of Death is now only $2.99 as well since the full series is out. :)
- Construction The construction that was supposed to happen on my house last week got pushed back because it rained all week. Today begins the demo and the craziness so if I'm not online as much, you know why.
- Father's Day I hope all you dads had a great Father's Day. I didn't get to see my dad, but I we'll celebrate another day. I did have a nice day with my husband, daughter, and my in-laws though.
- Revisions I'm finishing up revisions on a YA title my CPs got back to me last week. My goal is to send it to my agent in the next couple of days.
That's it for me. What's on your mind today?
Your agent will love it!
ReplyDeleteI hope so! :)
DeleteDo you manage to breathe while doing all that? :) Congratulations on the release, and good luck with the submission and the agent!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I like to keep busy. ;)
DeleteOoh, good luck and congratulations for tomorrow. Me, just the usual, frantically redrafting my novel. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the redrafting, Fi!
DeleteIt IS a long wait from the writing to the release, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteAnd 12 days? You wrote a whole first draft in 12 days? Even giving that I'm retiring from teaching to write full time, I kind of doubt I'll be able to write any first draft in 12 days. (Revise & edit -- no problem.)
It takes me much longer to revise than it does to draft. The ideas come easily. Perfecting them during revision takes time. I never thought I'd be able to write this quickly either until I stopped teaching to write full time. I bet you surprise yourself with how much you can write each day now.
DeleteSO cool! I just followed you on Twitter so I can retweet your big announcement tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you, Stephanie! That's so sweet of you. I'll go follow you back. :)
DeleteCongrats on your upcoming release day.
ReplyDeleteHoly writing, Kelly... 12 days? That's incredible!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your release and I look forward to reading The Monster Within over the summer. You must be super excited!!
I am. I really love Sam and Ethan.
DeleteBest of luck with the construction and book release! So many exciting things :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Meradeth!
DeleteCongrats on tomorrow's big release, Kelly!
ReplyDeleteHope we have a week full of sunshine for your construction and happy belated Father's Day to your husband as well :-)
Thanks, Faith. It looks like it's going to be a nice week.
DeleteI'm astonished that a first draft could be done that quickly! Congratulations on the release tomorrow, Kelly!
ReplyDeleteThanks, William. I get a little obsessive when I draft. ;)
DeleteCongrats on your release tomorrow! That's exciting. Good luck with your construction.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Auden!
DeleteHeading back from Tampa. Good luck on release day and wish you bunches of sales!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Diane. Have a safe trip.
DeleteWord goals are on my mind today. I need to get in 1000 today, and I'm only halfway- eep! Off to write soon! Er, now. ;)
ReplyDeleteWrite like the wind, Leandra! :)
DeleteMy father passed away five years ago. On Father's Day I got the urge to wear the only pair of earrings he had given me, only I couldn't find them in the chaos that my earring collection had become. Enter: Make Order Day. Earring found, worn, and cheers to dad!
ReplyDeleteYour week sounds as productive as ever. Sorry the postponed construction will keep your Make Order Days a bit farther away, but I have full confidence you will get there with panache.
I'm glad you found the earrings. I can't wait to get this place cleaned up. lol
