Happy Monday! Monday Mishmash is a weekly meme dedicated to sharing what's on your mind. Feel free to grab the button and post your own Mishmash.
Here's what's on my mind today:
- Editing My editing schedule is getting crazy—in a good way. I'm almost booked through the rest of the year.
- Release dates and cover reveals I can't wait until I can share more, but let's just say that August and September are going to bring great things. I can't wait.
- Secret Project So, my street team (Kelly's Coven) and my newsletter subscribers know what my secret project is. No one else will know about it until it's revealed on release day. ;) It's all in the works though, so keep an eye out.
- Mini-vacation I'll be spending a few days in Mystic, CT. It's been years since I've been there, and I'm looking forward to checking out the aquarium and seaport.
- Day planners Last week I had the dreaded experience of finding out my day planner was running out. The horror! I can't live without one. Luckily, that was remedied right away, and I'm already writing in my new turquoise day planner. Anyone else need a planner to survive?
That's it for me. What's on your mind today?
Mystic sounds like a wonderful name for a place. You sound a lot more organised than me. I must try harder. Still working away on my novel. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI love being organized. I'm lost if I don't write everything down.
DeleteGood luck with your novel.
if I didn't have a planner I'd go insane--it's a must for me!
ReplyDeleteSame here. I was in serious panic mode!
DeleteThat's one part of Connecticut I haven't seen. Enjoy the trip!
ReplyDeleteI've been there twice already and I'm looking forward to going back.
DeleteSo I'm in the know? YES!!! ;)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your mini-vaca. You deserve it!
You are, Chrys! :) And thanks.
DeleteI do need a planner, but mine's split between Google Calendar and Excel, so I'll never run out. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'm old school when it come to planners. I need to physically write in them.
DeleteYou sound busy as always. I use Google calendar, which alerts me to appointments via my iPhone. It's essential at this point. Have fun in Mystic.
ReplyDeleteI never got used to Google calendar. I'm a pen and paper planner girl. ;)
DeleteI can't think of Mystic, CT without thinking of the movie, Mystic Pizza. Great movie. And now I want pizza. I used to use a day planner, but I've cured myself of the dependency. Lol. Yours sounds pretty though.
ReplyDeleteLol True. We are there last time.
Delete*ate* This is what I get for trying to type on my phone. Lol
DeleteI keep a diary and a separate planner on my phone and in paper on my desk!
ReplyDeleteLove it. You are organized. :)
DeleteI have a medium-sized agenda holder that holds my to-do list and calendar. I can't live without it. It's getting raggedy, but it's discontinued. I should have bought a spare when I saw it last time at the store many years ago. It's just the right size, unlike the narrow ones typically seen.
ReplyDeleteI love hearing your good news. I'd love to visit Connecticut one day.
Ah, Medeia, you aren't in the FB group anymore. I have to remember to send out newsletters because you aren't the only one in Kelly's Coven who isn't in the FB group.
DeleteI hate when they discontinue something I love. It's so sad.
Yep, you reminded me! I have to get a new one before this current one runs out!
ReplyDeleteYes, don't let it run out.
DeleteSounds like you have some great things going on and some fun news to share soon! At my house, we are enjoying hosting a French exchange student, and I'm working on various small writing projects while waiting for editorial notes.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I wanted to mention that I thought your suggestion for last Monday's First Impression post was inspired -- a waking memory as part of a post-traumatic flashback. That could absolutely work for that writer!
Thanks, Dianne! Happy to help. It's fun to put on my editor cap and give suggestions when I can. :)
DeleteHave fun in CT!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteHa! Your #5 is my blog post... A life-saver.
ReplyDeleteNow about that secret project whose reveal date is also a secret... Good reason to corner the Kelly Coven Teamsters.
Secret projects are fun. :)
DeleteHave a great mini vacation, my friend. You work so hard.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sherry. :)
DeleteMy planner is mostly digital. I use sticky notes on my computer. I have a few note apps on my phone and I use Google Calendar. I do have a dry erase board for really important things.
ReplyDeleteHave fun on your mini vacation!
I don't know why, but I like to have my day planner instead of a digital calendar. I need the satisfaction of physically crossing things off.
DeleteI love cover reveals so hard! They're like crack for my book nerd self. =)
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way. :)
DeleteLooking forward to your secret release of info! Love the mystery. Have fun on your mini vacation.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sheri!
