Monday Mishmash 9/7/15

Happy Monday! Monday Mishmash is a weekly meme dedicated to sharing what's on your mind. Feel free to grab the button and post your own Mishmash.

Here's what's on my mind today:
  1. Happy Labor Day!  Even though it's a holiday, I'll be working. It's very rare that I take a day off.
  2. Editing  I have a client edit and edits for an anthology for Leap on my plate this week.
  3. Our Little Secret  I can't believe this book comes out next week! Exactly one week from tomorrow. Squee!!!! I'm so excited!!!
  4. Drafting?  I've been struggling to find time to write. I miss it. I NEED to write. I have next week planned as an all writing week (other than working the Scholastic Book Fair at my daughter's school). We shall see if things go as planned.
  5. Free Monthly Newsletter  My free monthly newsletter goes out later today. If you aren't signed up but would like a copy, click here.
That's it for me. What's on your mind this week?

  2. I'm working today too. It's such a struggle to fit everything in when I have multiple projects going. I hope you get a lot of writing time next week.

  6. Well, Labor Day means to "labor" doesn't it? Sorry. I couldn't resist. It's just another day for me. Have a good week editing and a good one next week writing.

    1. Yes, it does. ;)

Thank you so much for the great review of The Darkness Within, Beverly. I'm so glad you enjoyed it.

  7. Happy writing, Kelly! Hope you have a great writing week this week. It's funny how that gets buried among our other commitments.

    1. It unfortunately does, but I'm not used it so it's bugging me.

  8. I'm amazed that you can write original drafts at the same period you are editing someone else's writing. This is an impossibility for me. You are super woman... and helping with your daughter's school also!

    1. I can't draft two books at once though. I don't know how people do that and I wish I could. But yes, revising and drafting is totally doable for me.

  9. Labour Day is an off day up here as well. It still feels like the last gasp of freedom for a condemned soul!

  10. Freelance work piled up and waiting. When did cool work from home work turn into sigh, work. No matter how hard work is being employed is better than the alternative.

  11. I always seem to work on holidays, too, although I didn't work yesterday. So much to do, so little time, right?!

  12. I've had work piled up lately so even though it's a public holiday over here (Election Day) I'm planning on getting some work done. Honestly, I don't like public holidays that much. I'd really prefer a normal working day over them any time!

    1. It's so uncommon for me to take a day off that I prefer work days too.
