Happy Monday! Monday Mishmash is a weekly meme dedicated to sharing what's on your mind. Feel free to grab the button and post your own Mishmash.
Here's what's on my mind today:
- Only One Week Until After Loving You Releases! I can't believe October 3rd is almost here!
- Editing I'm finishing up a client edit this week in time for a new one on October 1st.
- Two Work Days With Extended Hours This week my daughter has student council and chorus after school, so thus begins my longer work hours on Tuesdays AND Wednesdays.
- 2017 Publication Schedule I'm going to be releasing books every two months in 2017. Well, actually it will be two months between releases. Stay tuned for more information on that this Wednesday.
- Fall! My favorite season is here! I love the smell of fall, specifically the smell of October. October has been my favorite month all my life. There's something special about it.
That's it for me. What's on your mind today?
Every two months!!! You're going to be busy. I assume some of these are re-releases? You go, girl!
ReplyDeleteNo, none are re-releases. This is the huge backlog of books I have thanks to the slow pace of traditional publishing. I write too much and too quickly for traditional publishing. LOL
DeleteWow, every 2 months? Congrats and on the release of After Loving You. Fall's not my favorite season but I do like the leaves change of color. But best of all, Banned Books Week is in fall.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lidy. Yay for Banned Books Week!
DeleteFall is a great season, and it's definitely starting to feel like it. Looking forward to more books from you! Let me know if you want to guest post on the blog for any of your upcoming releases.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Katie! I appreciate that.
DeleteYou are going to have one awesome publishing year in 2017! I've always heard for self-publishing authors, the more you get out and quicker, the better you do.
ReplyDeleteYes, I've heard the same. :)
DeleteWow! You should really be able to gain some amazing momentum with a book every two months--great idea! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI hope so.
DeleteIt will be an AMAZING feeling to get all those books out in the world. Trad publishing is great, but for an author who produces a lot of work quickly, it can feel like trying to run with twenty pound ankle weights! Happy for your decision, although I'm sure it wasn't easy and probably also a little scary. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great way to describe it! That's exactly how I felt.
DeleteI rather like fall myself. It's such a nice writing time. Good luck with your books.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lee.
DeleteI have a couple books to release next year as well. Two are novella series which I'll be releasing at once (first in March, Second by Summer) and each has five books. Then there is a NA horror novel series that I'm dropping book one by around August/September and my adult pseudonym has a book coming in December. This is just self-publishing.
ReplyDeleteI also plan to agent an MG by the end of this year or early 2017. Also hopefully send out two manuscripts to a certain publisher next year. They have a unique business model I love and no agent is required. So my schedule is pretty packed as well. All the best with your publishing next your, the extended work days and congrats on your upcoming new book.
Wow, you have a lot coming up. Sounds like you have it all planned out though, so that's great. Good luck with it all.
DeleteWow! 2017 is going to be busy for you. Way to go on working so hard!
ReplyDeleteYes, very busy!
DeleteThat'll keep you busy!
ReplyDeleteNo doubt!
DeleteFall is my favorite season. So much is happening and all the holidays to look forward too. That's a lot of books. Congratulations. You make me feel so lazy.
ReplyDeleteNo, I'm just crazy and need to get some of these books into readers hands. ;)
Delete*readers'*
DeleteSpring and Fall are my favorites, so long as the pollen stays at a minimum!
ReplyDeleteI hear you!
DeleteA book every two months? You are a publisher, full-fledged. (I hope to finish yet another re-vision in the next two months... (Blushing)
ReplyDeleteI can't even imagine releasing books every two months. WOW! Congrats! :)
