Monday Mishmash 6/12/17

Happy Monday! Monday Mishmash is a weekly meme dedicated to sharing what's on your mind. Feel free to grab the button and post your own Mishmash.

Here's what's on my mind today:
  1. It Was Always You Preorder  It Was Always You, book one in the Love Chronicles series (written as Ashelyn Drake) is now up for preorder. Grab your copy here.
  2. Editing  I'm swamped with client edits this month. Good thing I finished drafting everything I needed drafted last month.
  3. Pool time!  Our pool is open and warm enough to swim in! It's officially summer.
  4. Summer Schedule  With all these client edits on my plate, my summer schedule is not working already! I'm finding I now have to work early in the morning and late at night to accommodate being Mom and being a good editor. Sleep is overrated anyway, right?
That's it for me. What's on your mind today?

  2. I like the sound of the pool. Busy is good, although do get your sleep.

I'm working on my novel this week.

  4. Can't wait to read your new book. Sounds like a good one! I look longingly at the pool as I walk around the track every day at the Y. One of these days, I'm going to take the day off and just swim!

  7. Oh, if you want to do it all and do it well, sleep is the one element not to compromise on. That's my sixpence worth...
I can see combining pool time with editing, though.

  8. Summer is actually my best time to work on story writing. However, my day job is competing this summer and I will have to find time to write close to deadlines as usual.

  10. So you can't edit at poolside with a glass of wine?

    1. I don't sit poolside. I'm in the water. It's too hot to not be in the water. ;)
