Monday Mishmash 10/16/17

Happy Monday! Monday Mishmash is a weekly meme dedicated to sharing what's on your mind. Feel free to grab the button and post your own Mishmash.

Here's what's on my mind today:
  1. The Lost Island  My daughter finished her second book. I'm so proud of her. If you'd like to read The Lost Island for free, you can grab it on Smashwords, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, or iBooks
Twelve-year-old Olivia Lockhart's life has been turned upside down after discovering her family's big secret. And now the only person with answers has fled.

Determined to track down Amanda, Olivia encounters several others—and each has a key to unraveling this mystery once and for all.

But danger is waiting for Olivia everywhere her journey takes her. Can she unravel the clues, or will she become a victim of The Lost Island?
  2. Editing  I'm working on client edits again this week.
  3. Final Proofread  I'm doing the final proofread of I Belong With You, which releases November 6th. It's fully edited. Now I just need to make sure no typos slipped through during edits.
  4. Drafting  I'm not sure if I'll have time to draft this week, but I hope to.
  5. Mega Giveaway!  I'm part of a huge giveaway going on until December 15th. You can win my book Into the Fire along with 49 others! Check it out here
That's it for me. What's on your mind today?

  2. Congratulations to Ayla, that's great!

I'm waiting for the Belgrade Book Fair (it starts next Sunday). Everyone is talking about it, publishers are promoting new books, and some of those have gorgeous covers (one of them inspired me to write a blog post; awesome cover is awesome, and all that jazz :)).

  3. Congrats Ayla.

Meanwhile I'm still wondering how the weekend past so quick that it's Monday again already.

  4. I was just thinking about asking what is the status of her 2nd book. I'm so happy that she is following in your footsteps. She is amazing! If you are getting it printed, please put me down for 5 copies; I would love to share it with my four 5th Grade classes and of course a copy for myself. <3

  7. Ayla's cover is brilliant. At her age she's already done what many writers haven't: write, finished, published.

    1. I'm glad you like. I actually did that cover myself, and I'm no cover designer. LOL I couldn't be more proud of her. She's already accomplished so much at her age.
