Monday Mishmash 11/13/17

Happy Monday! Monday Mishmash is a weekly meme dedicated to sharing what's on your mind. Feel free to grab the button and post your own Mishmash.

Here's what's on my mind today:
  1. Editing  I'm editing for a client this week.
  2. Drafting  Last week I was able to finish up a draft I had to put aside for client edits. One more draft left to go in this, series and then I can figure out where to put it in my publishing schedule (either late 2018 or early 2019 so I have plenty of time for editing).
  3. Winter?  It's been so cold here it feels like winter instead of fall. We've had snow flurries twice, too. I'm not a winter person at all, so I'm not loving this.
  4. Amazon Giveaways  I have two Amazon giveaways going on right now, and they are ending soon. If you'd like a chance to win A Shade of Vampire by Bella Forrest, you can enter here. And if you'd like a chance to win Dirty Little Secret by Kendall Ryan, you can enter here. Good luck!
  5. Novella Series  I'm contemplating a novella series for the summer. It would be an Ashelyn Drake series. I'm curious how many people read novellas, though, so if you do, please let me know.
That's it for me. What's on your mind today?

  1. I read novellas sporadically. You're working hard Kelly! Sorry about the early winter blues. We're getting a lot of rain right now in Jamaica. Not fun. In fact it started raining minutes ago and it's after 2 a.m. At least I work from home thank goodness. Take care!

  3. This weather stinks!

I read novellas sometimes, and would love to read yours! Sometimes, I just need a short read instead of a longer novel. I say go for it!

    1. Thank you, Beth! Sometimes I prefer a shorter read, too.

  5. Have no idea what weather we're having down here. It's November and until now the temperature been in the 70s. :-O Crazy. Now it's starting to feel like Fall/Winter but though I don't like the cold, it kind of freaks me out how high the current temperature (mid 40s to low 50s) is now. It should be 40s and below not the opposite. Again, don't like the cold, so I should be happy.
Go for the novella series. Read some novellas, some of which came in series and loved it. One series in particular inspired one of my own which I'll jump into after NaNoWrimo and finishing my WIP I have on hold.

  6. It's been below freezing here in the last few days, and we've also seen our first snow of the season.

  7. Novellas are a nice read when I'm in the mood to read something that doesn't take a long time. I'm a slow reader, the same as a slow writer. Our weather has been warm, but the past few days it turned chilly and damp and the cats have not been happy because they like to go outside. I let them out today. They're enjoying their freedom.

    1. My dog hates the rainy weather we've been having for the same reason.

  8. Count me as a novella fan. Wish there were more, so we can write them more, too.
Yup, winter without the joy of fall first is no fair...

  9. It's getting cold over here, too. Then it's not so cold, then it's cold again... I'm still too dizzy after the Belgrade Book Fair and BeoKon to really notice it, though.

As for novellas, I love them and read them.

    1. That back and forth in the temperatures kills my allergies.
