Monday Mishmash 1/1/18

Happy Monday! Monday Mishmash is a weekly meme dedicated to sharing what's on your mind. Feel free to grab the button and post your own Mishmash.

Here's what's on my mind today:
  1. Happy New Year!  Here's to hoping 2018 is a great year!
  2. Wrath and Ruin  I can't believe Wrath and Ruin releases tomorrow. Thank you to everyone who has already preordered this collection of 24 sci-fi/fantasy books. If you haven't grabbed it yet, don't wait. The price will go up very soon.
  3. Editing  I'm editing for a client right now, and her book is SO good. If you haven't read anything by Karen Lynch yet, you need to go do that right now. Trust me. She's amazing.
  4. Games We Play is out tomorrow, too!  When my very first book released in 2013, I had two releases on the same day. Now, five years later, it's the same thing. You can grab the last book in the Lies We Tell trilogy here:
  5. Reading  Over the holiday, I read two craft books. It's been a while since I read a craft book, but I asked for two for my birthday and made time this past week to read them both cover to cover.
That it's for me. What's on your mind today?

  2. Happy New Year! I've gotten some reading done over the holidays as well.

I can't wait to see what 2018 brings. I have goals for this year, and I have a few people who are going to be helping me stick to them. I can't wait to start hitting my goals!

  3. Happy New Year to you, too, and congrats on the double release!

I've been reading a lot lately, too (Ligotti's Grimscribe is right next to me, a bunch of creepy stories), but my TBR pile keeps growing.

  4. Looks like another busy year, with two books coming out at the beginning. How exciting.
Happy 2018 and best wishes for a great year.

  5. Happy New Year!🎉

I've read books 1-3 of the Mist-torn Witches series by Barb Hendee that my husband got me for Christmas in less than a week. (My son's were amazed). Now have to buy book 4 "To Kill a Kettle Witch."

Good luck with your edits. And best wishes to your releases.

  6. You're starting the year with you contagious energy. I just come over to catch some! But I wonder, when editing a book that already read that well to you, such as Karne Lynch's, how much editing do you find you are still doing? I found that at times, when reading a CP's manuscript, there isn't much I would change.

    1. I’m actually Karen’s proofreader. I find all the pesky typos, punctuation, and grammar errors.
