Okay, so 7 things about me you might not know:
- I haven't read an adult book in over a year. I'm strictly YA and MG now.
- I still have baby brain even though my daughter is almost five.
- I love books that creep me out or have me huddling under the blankets at night.
- One of my secret talents is being able to hitchhike with my big toe. Still trying to figure out how to work that into a story. ;)
- I'm more than willing to embarrass myself to make my daughter laugh.
- I'm very in tune with my 6th sense. My mom says it's the Irish in me.
- My arm muscles are freakishly strong for my size. My husband says I have pipes.
And now the 5 bloggers I'm awarding:
Congrats on the award!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm lovin' this new site!
Stay pretty and rock this bitch up! ^_^
Thanks, T.D. It's tough switching blogs, but I love it here, so I'm glad I did it. It's nice to "see" you again. Your blog changed too. I like it.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the award, Kelly. I'm off to click on your nominees. . .
ReplyDeleteCongrats! Hey, I'm reading Delirium too. Isn't it great?
ReplyDeleteinluvwithwords, thanks! I hope you enjoy their blogs as much as I do.
ReplyDeleteJessie, thanks! Yes, I'm loving Delirium.
ReplyDeletegrats on the award! Have you read Ashes? If you like creepy stuff this might be your thing. I have it, but have been too much of a wuss to read it, but I LOVE the premise.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kelly! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the award, Kelly!
ReplyDeleteCongrats, Kelly. Oohh I am reading Delirium as well, and I love it.
ReplyDeleteEliza, no I haven't read Ashes. I'll check it out though. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYou are very welcome, Anna and Karen!
ReplyDeleteCeCe, another person reading Delirium. And I wasn't planning to review it here because I thought everyone would have read it by now. Hmm, maybe I will review it after all.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kelly. Great start to the year.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Fi!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny what people don't realize about us... People who know me somehow seem to imagine me always wearing black and almost get a heart attack when seeing me in a white sweater, even though they should know that I wear various colors plenty of time. :)
ReplyDeleteangel011, I know what you mean. People tend to put you in a bubble sometimes, only thinking of you one way. It's kind of like how actors get type-cast.
ReplyDeleteCool bloggers, all! Thanks for turning us onto them.
ReplyDeleteWe might be big toe twins. I'm not sure how either of us is going to feel about that.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Catherine. :)
ReplyDeleteJen, toe twins unite! ;) We should have special powers or something.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and maybe they don't know that I love your posts. Keep up the baby brain, it works and I wish I had it.
ReplyDeleteCongrats Kelly! :) And I can do a thumbs up with my big toe (in fact, I can stretch my lil one too so it looks like I'm missin' one.) Other than that everyone tells me I have cute toes :D
ReplyDeleteThe Desert Rocks, oh believe me, you don't want baby brain. But thanks!
ReplyDeleteElizabeth, looks like you're missing one. Ooh, creepy. Look at all of us with such talented feet. LOL
ReplyDeleteStill recovering from your #4, Kelly. I want to see that one. There must be some fabulous use for such.
ReplyDeleteIf I were giving awards, you'd get the 'Most Industrious' and 'Most Generous' one.
Mirka, aw thank you! You're so sweet. And as for my hitchhiker toe, I used to freak my sister out with it when we were growing up. I don't even know how I figured out I could that. My daughter thinks it's funny.
ReplyDeleteWhat about your fascination for plungers? That's my favorite. I can't walk by them in the store without thinking of you pulling them off the shelf to test them out. Congrats on your award. I know writers are supposed to read the type of fiction they write, but I have to spice it up or I lose interest. I am in awe you can stay true to your genre without even sneaking a peek.
ReplyDeletebrenda, LOL. You remember that? I don't know how I forgot to mention my plunger obsession. I dare you to test out the next plunger you see in the store. Do it! ;)
ReplyDeleteYes, I do stay true to what I'm writing. I have a pile of MG books waiting for me, but my WIP is YA so I can't read them right now. Weird, right? I figure I'll get to them if and when my MG gets contracted. For now I'm in full YA mode. There are so many great books in this age group and in the fantasy/paranormal genre that I don't think I could get bored.
Kelly, I enjoyed learning seven new things about you, and what a sense of humor. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteMarja, thanks! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your award! I enjoyed reading the facts about you! I love MG and YA books too- although I do squeeze in a few adult books a year. I read multiple MG and YA books a week. :) I have never know anyone who can hitchike with their big toe- wow! Also- I adore creepy books that make me huddle under the covers! Thanks for sharing!

Jess, thanks. My mom keeps trying to get me to squeeze in some adult books, but I haven't. I'm addicted to YA right now. I don't think I ever really grew up.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the the Versatile blogger award. It was fun to get to know you a little bit better!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lara. :)
ReplyDeleteWith your big toe? Hehehe
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the award
Michelle, yup, my big toe. ;)
ReplyDeleteCongrats! :)
ReplyDeleteUm, one thing about me...There's a video out there on the web somewhere that my sister uploaded of me (I'm short) trying to climb a tree in the forest and failing miserably, to the point of falling. :)
Kelly, I hope you work that big toe hitchhiking skill into a story soon. That would be awesome! It also reminds me of Nancy Lamb's THE WORLD'S GREATEST TOE SHOW. Congrats on the award. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the award. I love creepy books. I only read an adult novel from time to time these days.
ReplyDeleteMost people don't know that I'm a night owl. They're surprised when my emails are dated at 2 or 3 in the morning.
Congratulations on the blog award :) Lovely to get to know you a bit better.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rachel. See that's why I never tried to climb trees. I'm only 5'2". :)
ReplyDeleteClaudine, I don't know that one. I'm going to have to Google it.
ReplyDeleteMedeia, I wish I was a night owl. I'm a morning person though.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mari!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I envy you those arm muscles. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the award. Work that 6th sense into a book with the toeing and you're golden! lol.
ReplyDeleteMarcia, I got them from carrying my daughter. She's almost five and I can still carry her in one arm. My husband can't hold her for as long as I can. ;) It's a great arm workout.
ReplyDeleteTanya, I like the way you think!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog and congratulation on the award!
ReplyDeleteThank you, MSBjaneB! :)
ReplyDeleteI loved the "more than willing to embarrass myself to make my daughter laugh" comment!!! Me too :0).
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your award!
