- Presidents Day Happy Presidents Day! My daughter and husband are both home for the holiday.
- Taxes We're getting our taxes done this morning. I hate sitting through this, but the refund is always nice.
- New SUV We're picking up my husband's new Escape this afternoon. Hopefully, I'll like driving this better than his previous vehicle, which felt like a bus to me.
- New WIP Yes, I'm still plotting this book. I keep getting snippets of dialogue instead of an overall plot ARC. Very strange, but I'm very "go with the flow" when it comes to plotting.
- Love All Reading I decided to make a video of me reading the opening of Love All, my YA romance novella. If you haven't seen it, you can check it out below. And Love All is still only $1.29 on Kindle and Nook.
That's it for me. What's on your mind today?
Enjoy the holiday. I'm sure your new WIP will come together soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm planning writing and reading for this week. All go.
Good luck with your reading and writing, Terrie!
DeleteI am reading Love All. It is very cute! And I am promoting my retreat and working on some guest posts. Busy, busy!
ReplyDeleteOh yay! Thank you, Jodi! I hope you enjoy it. :)
DeleteAwww, I've got my copy!
ReplyDeleteThanks for picking up a copy, LM. I hope you enjoy it!
DeleteMy daughter snatched it, so I guess I'll have to wait my turn to read it. Oh, and we got a new puppy :-D
ReplyDeletePUPPY!!! Enjoy! That's so much fun. We got one over the summer. She's big now.
DeleteI hope you're daughter enjoys Love All. I'm honored that she snatched it from you. ;)
I'm getting over sickness and preparing for overnight house guests, so no time for anything but cleaning :).
ReplyDeleteGood luck, Katie. I'm glad you're feeling better.
DeleteEnjoy the time off. I, unfortunately, have to work today!
ReplyDeleteI will secretly sit at my computer and compile a blog post. :)
I won't tell. ;)
DeleteI'm working today because my baby-sitter was available...although the hubby is home, making lots of noise working on the attic. It's going to be my new office when it's finished, so I'm not complaining about the racket!
ReplyDeleteYay for an office! Lucky you!
DeleteI love your video blogs! I wish I had the nerve to do one. Maybe I'll give it a try when I get my ARC of PODs, but it will probably come out in my supersonic crying voice because I'm sure to cry. I cried when I got my PDF galley (big baby, I know).
ReplyDeleteJust bought your Novella--can't wait to read it. :)

Michelle, I made a crying video when I held my Touch of Death ARC. I think it's mandatory. ;)
DeleteThanks for buying Love All. I hope you enjoy it. :)
Sounds like a fun day. My hubby does our taxes so it's painless for me, but the return is a mutually enjoyable event. :)
ReplyDeleteWe went at 9am, so taxes are officially taken care of. Yay!
Deletegreat teaser & so realistic - girl friends have a hard time understanding when a boy comes into the picture!
ReplyDeleteYes, they do. At least mine did.
DeleteI'm preparing the information to send to our accountant--let him deal with the tax forms, lol!
ReplyDeleteExactly. I wouldn't dare do them myself.
DeleteAwesome that you did the reading. I've been thinking of incorporating that on my blog someday as well. :0)
ReplyDeleteYou should! I just have no problem embarrassing myself on film apparently. ;)
DeleteWhat a treat getting to see you read from your book. Great idea :-)
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked it. :)
DeleteI tried a novel once when I didn't have a detailed plot outlined, and I got lost in the middle. It's the only ms I never finished. Now, even though plotting can take months, it's a worthwhile effort for me.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the day off, the new car and the video book-reading! :-)
Thanks, Lexa. Plotting is always different for me. I just go with it. This appears to be a book that will have a lot of dialogue clips in my plotting. That's fine with me. I'll adapt.
DeleteHere's an extra pot of cyber coffee for that tax preparation you're doing. Yuck! :)
ReplyDeleteSheri, we don't do them ourselves. I couldn't handle that. We had them done this morning and it was painless. Thankfully!
DeleteMy husband drives an Escape and thinks his next vehicle may be another Escape. He loves it. I find it a little truck-like but not too much so. It's a nice size. Happy President's Day. I'll check out Love All.
ReplyDeleteMy husband keeps cringing because I said the Escape is adorable. He's upset because he wants a manly car. Oh well. It's cute. I can't help it.
DeleteI hope you enjoy Love All. :)
Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteWe've got the day off north of the border (in some provinces) for a totally fake holiday they created called Family Day.
Hey, Family Day sounds fun. :)
DeleteLoved the teaser. That was an awesome idea. Good luck with your work in progress!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Auden!
DeleteHappy President's Day to you and your family too!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Eve!
DeletePresident's Day? That's a new one on me!! Don't think anyone here in GB knows about it.Do you all go round pretending to be President? What do you eat? Presidential food? Hahaha. We do our taxes in January. Horrid job. This year, the refund they owed me was exactly the same as the extra tax my husband owed them! Such is life.
ReplyDeleteWell, at least you came out even, right? President's Day means lots of sales and no school. They used to do more, but it seems like every year the holiday is downsized.
DeleteI banged out the last 9000 words in my WIP and typed THE END on the manuscript yesterday (Monday). That felt really good!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new car!
Woo hoo! Congrats! I call that a great day. :)
DeletePresident's Day meant I didn't catch up with your Monday until Tuesday- but it's always lovely to see you reading.
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you, Mirka!
DeleteLoved the video. I was on the road ( a constant theme in my life) on Monday. I was visiting family in Souther California this weekend and sadly, the only writing I did was notes on my current character's love interest. Love my new story and anxious to finish it. Congrats to your husband... nothing better than new car smell for those of us wierdos who like new cars.
ReplyDeleteI love your new story too, if it's the one I'm thinking of. :)
DeleteNot much at the moment. Just deciding on the categories I want for this months awards on my blog. :-)
ReplyDeleteI saw you mentioned the Sweets Blogfest on your blog. Thank you so much for spreading the word.
DeleteNice reading. Enjoy the new car, I love my new Nissan Cube so much!!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't gotten to drive the new car yet, but I'm looking forward to it. :) Glad you enjoyed the reading.
DeleteMan, you really rock this vlog thing. I'm preeeetty jealous. Great idea, and you chose a fun section to read aloud!
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks! That's the beginning, which I really love because it came to me when I got the idea for the book. I love when stories come to me that way.
DeleteSounds like a good start to the week, including getting taxes out of the way.
ReplyDeleteYes. I'm so glad they are taken care of.
DeleteGlad you had a family day. :) I don't like doing taxes either, but it is nice to get money back.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to watch the video!
