- My daughter's birthday! Tomorrow is my daughter's 6th birthday. How did that happen? She's getting so big.
- Scholastic Book Fair I'm working at my daughter's school all week to help the PTO out with the book fair. I'm going to have to write like the wind in the afternoons to make up for working in the mornings.
- New novel idea I woke up at 4am Sunday morning with yet another book idea. I'm currently doing edits on my MG novel and I'm drafting another YA already, too. I need to clone myself so I can get all this done.
- Warm Bodies I'm dying to see this movie. I'm reading the book right now and will be reviewing it soon.
- Sweets Blogfest There's still time to sign up for the Sweets Blogfest on March 6th. The rules are simple, just post the blogfest button and link to me and my co-host Beth Fred. Then write about your favorite sweet, favorite sweet couple, favorite sweet romance, or promote your own sweet romance. That's it! You can sign up below:

Make sure you don't make yourself sick! Get enough sleep and it will all get done!
ReplyDeleteI've been sleeping more than usual lately, Jodi. I guess my body knows I'm going to need the extra rest. ;)
DeleteKids grow up so quick, my niece turns fifteen on Thursday and I still remember changing her diapers between high-school homework!
ReplyDeleteWarm Bodies the book had me tickled, it just normalised the craziest things! I don't like gut-wrenching Zombie books, but Warm Bodies and Undead/Unfed by Kirsty McKay
I'm enjoying it. It's very different from what the movie previews show though. I was surprised at first.
DeleteI love your blogfest idea and would like to sign up, but I have so much writing to do to get the first draft of this sequel finished. I'll surely come by and read the entries, though.
ReplyDeleteAnd Happy B-day to your little girl. They do grow fast. WAY too fast.
No worries, Sheri. I know how deadlines are. Good luck! And thanks for the birthday wishes. :)
DeleteI'm going to cry when my son turns six. And my daughter is five months! I told my son last night he's not allowed to get any older.

DeleteWhen my daughter was 15 weeks, we made a deal that she'd stay that age and I'd stay 28. Didn't happen. ;)
DeleteHappy birthday to your sweetie!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your daughter!! My baby girl turns 7 on Friday -- how the time flies! Good luck with all of your projects - sounds like you will be staying very busy.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your daughter, too!
DeleteHappy birthday to your daughter. They certainly do grow up fast.
ReplyDeleteLove those new ideas when they present themselves. Now you just need extra hours in your days. :)
I really do! A lot more hours.
DeleteHappy Birthday to your daughter. Those book fairs are fun, and a good way to see what kids are reading and excited about. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Catherine!
DeleteHope your daughter has a wonderful birthday. Have fun at the book fair, too! I used to run ours when my youngest son was in grammar school. I enjoyed myself immensely.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Karen. Yeah, it's fun to help with the book fairs.
DeleteYeah for new ideas. I've been going back and forth on which project to work on next, but the muse finally hit this weekend. Now I'm knee deep in research, but it's so fun.
ReplyDeleteHappy researching!
DeleteI think the offsprings' birthdays mean as much or more to us mom as to the kids. Obviously, their lives started on their birthdays - but ours changed SO much.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to you both, and have fun at the bookfair.
Aw, thank you, Beverly. I told my daughter is was a special day for me to because it's the anniversary of the day I became a mom. :)
DeleteScholastic Book Fair sounds like fun!
ReplyDeleteOT (since it's Mishmash Monday). Oscars--loved the winners and dressed. Host--boring and offensive. Running time--too long (as usual).
They are. I didn't watch the Oscars. I tried but was bored.
DeleteHappy Birthday to your daughter. :) Kelly, have fun at the fair and with your writing.
ReplyDeleteWatched the Ocsars for the CLOTHES. Hahaha! The gowns were beautiful. I want to play dress up.
Thanks, EW!
DeleteI signed up for the blogfest and I'm so excited! :D Happy birthday to your daughter. :)
ReplyDeleteOh yay! I'm glad you'll be joining us. :)
DeleteI can't keep up on edits to one book let alone a million. Good for you and your crazy energy!!
ReplyDeleteThe years pass too fast. Mine will be two soon and I can't handle that. Hope your little girl has a happy birthday!!!!
Thanks, Michelle. I got a new editing client, too, so I've been editing for him all day instead of working on my own stuff. Don't tell. ;)
DeleteHappy Birthday to your daughter, Kelly, and have fun working the book fair :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Faith!
DeleteI just did a post about my sweetie! If only I had known...
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is dying to see Dead Bodies - wait, did I just say she was DYING to see a zombie movie? LOL. Do you watch Walking Dead?
No, I don't. My agent keeps telling me I should.
DeleteAw happy birthday to your daughter! I loved going to the Scholastic book fair!! Have fun :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Samantha. Sorry my comment posted so many times on your blog. I don't know how that happened. It told me it couldn't post. LOL
DeleteTen more years until sweet 16! :D
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, it comes really fast.
No! Don't say that!
DeleteWARM BODIES ROCKED SO MUCH!!!
ReplyDeleteDo you mean the book or the movie?
DeleteHappy Birthday to your daughter! I hope she has a great day. The book fair should be lots of fun. :) Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Stephanie!
DeleteMan, I LOVED book fairs as a kid. It was like heaven!
ReplyDeleteSame here!
DeleteWasnt sure about the blog hop?
ReplyDeleteI saw warm bodies...I liked it. It was better then I thought it would be but I havent read the book. I wonder how close the book and the movie is!
So far the movie seems much funnier than the book.
DeleteEnjoy the Book Fair, and a very Happy Birthday to your daughter. I'm sure she will have a lovely day.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Terrie!
DeleteSounds like you're having a lovely time. I remember my daughter at 6, aw, cuteness and attitude all wrapped up together. I want to see Warm Bodies too - interesting slant on the zombie theme. You might also be interested in this online zombie 3 parter (not sure when it's starting) - http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p00szzcm. My week is looking snarly (normal life) and interesing (writing life).
ReplyDeleteCuteness, definitely! It's a great age.
DeleteHappy birthday to your daughter and enjoy the book fair.
ReplyDeleteAnd best of luck with the new idea. :-)
Thanks, Misha!
DeleteHi Kelly! By the time you get this,it will be Ayla's birthday! Hope she and you have a wonderful day. 6 - 8 were years of Hannah's life that I really enjoyed. Still the wonder of childhood without the pressures of growing up and becoming a pre-teen. You WILL post pics of the party on your FB page??? Pretty please!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Carol. Actually, I don't post pictures of Ayla on FB. I've heard they can be traced, so I don't do it. It's a shame I have to think of things like that, but I have to protect my baby.
DeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY Author Kelly's daughter! I feel like I should be sending Ayla A.A. Milne's WHEN WE WERE SIX. A wonderful book for what goes by too fast.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mirka. I'll have to get that book for her.
DeleteI think if you "write like the wind" more than you already do, you'll turn yourself into a cyclone and fly away!! lol
ReplyDeleteHappy B-day to your daughter and good luck with all those book ideas! :-)
LOL Thanks!
DeleteMy son's birthday is the 26th, as well (I think we discussed that last year!). As is my grandma's. Speaking of it being a small world, my son brought home a neat packet from school that had various books and writers and writing activities based on them, and one of your books was in there! It was fun to see a familiar name in something he brought home from school.
ReplyDeleteI posted about your blogfest on my Wed post, to go up in the AM.
Shannon at The Warrior Muse
Yes, we have talked about this. :) And yes, I write for an educational publisher, so that was my work you saw.
DeleteThanks for spreading the word about the blogfest. Beth and I really appreciate it.
Isn't it just typical, getting an idea at the most inconvenient hour of the day?
