That's it for me. What's on your mind today?
Hey, Kelly! Brave girl doing the video, but it is marked private! Conrgats on everything!
ReplyDeleteOops. I fixed it. It's public now. Thanks for letting me know, Jodi.
DeleteCongrats Kelly! Today I'm making time to catch on sending out interview questions to folks I'd like to interview for my blog, doing some academic writing and working on creativity coaching practice. A full day!
ReplyDeleteYes, that is a full day. Good luck!
DeleteYeah, my kiddos last day of school is Thursday too!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on you latest picture book!!
Thanks, Sheri!
DeleteFull day here too. Just hoping I get everything done.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, Beth!
DeleteThis is my kiddos' second week off. Summer tutoring and camp and reduced hours at work (& swim team) are my new life.
ReplyDeleteSummer always means change, doesn't it?
DeleteWorking on professionalizing my image with a new headshot (gulp) that's not cropped from something else. Finally cleared off a couple dozen dead tree books that I'd placed in a TBReviewed stack on my favorite reading chair and had been sitting there since Christmas, under the theory that it would FORCE me to review them. (What it forced me to do was to sit in another chair.)
ReplyDeleteLOL. Good luck with the reviews and the headshot.
DeleteYay! Your new picture book looks so cute. I remember reading and critiquing this one. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, you did. :)
DeleteYour picture book looks adorable.
ReplyDeleteAh, summer break from school--that wonderful endless horizon for kids. :)
Thanks, Ann!
DeleteCongrats on the picture book. Looks great.
ReplyDeleteI've got a mixed week from chick handling and feeding buffalo calves to reading and writing.
Thanks, Terrie. Feeding buffalo calves? I want to see pictures.
DeleteSo many awesome things! Congrats! And hope you and your daughter enjoy the summer :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Meradeth!
DeleteKelly, you amaze me by how much you are able to accomplish! Keep on rocking it, girl!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Faith!
DeleteWhew! It went from steamy(kisses & bedrooms!)- to creepy(veins & bodies!) Verrry interesting... =)
ReplyDeleteThat pretty much describes the series right there. ;)
DeleteYour new picture book looks fabulous! Can't believe your daughter is almost a first grader. I remember reading on your blog that she was getting ready to start school! Time flies. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteYes, time does fly!
Your museum book looks so cute! I'll have to see if we can get it for our education library.
ReplyDeleteOn my mind:
1) Drafting. I LOVE this stage of writing.
2) Camp NaNoWriMo. It starts July 1.
3) Summer weather. It's so nice outside finally!
4) Vacation. My wanderlust has kicked into high gear.
Aw, thanks, Adrianne. I appreciate that.
DeleteI'll be drafting today, too. Good luck with it.
This week is mainly preparation for the weekend - Saturday - my son's 9th birthday, Sunday - father's day, Monday - husband's birthday. Husband doesn't want cards so my kids are putting together Powerpoint birthday presentations for him instead. I've had a professional critique back on the first two chapters of my novel, very positive, which gives me confidence that I'm on the right track plus some areas to work on too. More work to do on my novel and on my latest murder mystery play too. I might sleep sometime next week.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your son and husband! Congrats on the critiques!
DeleteCongratulations on your new book, Kelly! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Karen!
DeleteAdorable cover for your picture book. Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteYes, the years sure do pass by. And the little ones just keep growing.
Thanks, Beverly.
DeleteYes, they do.
Congratulations on ALL the above, and a special hug to your daughter this Thursday. Everything begins with first grade, so there will be many more graduations to go to in your future. Many books too, no doubt.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mirka!
DeleteNow they teach reading in kindergarten. I love it! She's already reading and do math equations. :)
LOVE IT. Nothing much going on over here, working with an editor on one of my stories, sending off a novella as requested by an editor, working away on my novel and branding strategy. Bulking up.
ReplyDeleteAll sounds good, Brenda!
DeleteCongratulations on the picture book! And the teaser is a good one.
