- 5 Dollar Sundresses! Okay, Five Below has sundresses for $5 and they are seriously cute. I bought two over the weekend. What a deal! I would have bought more but that's all they had in my size.
- Stalked by Death Stickers I got some awesome Stalked by Death stickers for the upcoming release! Yay!
- Reading at the Book Expo I'm excited because I was asked to do a reading at the Book Expo (in Stroudsburg, PA) next month. Not sure which book they want me to read yet, but I know it's one of my picture books since the afternoon readings are all for young children.
- Editing I have a lengthy client edit to do this week. Wish me luck. My daughter's having a hard time understanding Mom needs to work.
- German Shepherd Hound Mix Last June we got a puppy, and we knew she was a German Shepherd mix. We just figured out that she's part hound, and now her sad, droopy eyes, burrowing habits, and her deep bark that carries all make sense. So, she's our little German Shephound. Yes, I just made that up. ;)
That's it for me. What's on your mind today?
Five dollar sundresses?! That's a little piece of heaven, coming from someone who owns a TON of sundresses.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the expo reading! I'm sure you'll be great. Happy Monday!
I know. It's such a great deal. The dresses are really cute, too.
DeleteI wish we had stores like that where I live. I love sundresses!
ReplyDeleteMe too. They are so comfortable.
DeleteFive dollar sundresses? See, that's what I miss about the states. No way you'd find a deal like that here. *jealous*
ReplyDeleteYay for the stickers, the reading, and the puppy heritage discovery! :)
Good luck with edits!
Thanks, Dorothy!
DeleteYay! And good luck with the edit.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI always try sundresses on and leave without one, I think my body is not made for them. Two short waisted, I guess. But I believe you when you say they are cute. Sounds like my kids! <3
ReplyDeleteThese are all empire waists so they'd probably work for you, Jodi.
DeleteSounds like lots of fun in the pipeline. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Terrie!
DeleteYay for a good shopping week and good luck on the editing. Maybe your daughter would understand if you showed her chores=money=buying things. "Shephound"! lol
ReplyDeleteI love the "Shephound" term I came up with. ;)
DeleteAnd, yes, she understands money quite well.
You were asked to do a reading? That is so exciting!!!
ReplyDeleteYes. :)
DeleteCongrats on the reading and good luck with client edits!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jessie!
DeleteWe had a neighbor who had a hound, and when they put it in their backyard it would just howl and howl. You'd think they were back there killing it, rather than just letting it have a little fresh air! And hey, if they have Pomapoos(pomeranians and poodles), you can have a Shephound. =)
ReplyDelete:) Luckily, my puppy doesn't howl, but boy does her bark carry. She can wake up the entire neighborhood.
DeleteHave fun at your reading, Kelly. My son trains protection dogs and they are almost always Shepherds. They make the best protection dogs and they are so loyal! You are blessed.
ReplyDeleteYes, they really are great dogs.
DeleteTotally off to google these dresses! Love a good deal :) Best of luck with your edits and everything this week!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Meradeth!
DeleteSundresses and Shephounds? Summer doesn't get any better :-)
ReplyDeleteAwwww, a new pup! What fun. Good luck on those client edits.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Catherine!
DeleteGotta love a bargain. My family has been trying to get me to do dresses, I just can't ;)
ReplyDeleteGood luck editing!
They are so comfortable. I wore them to BEA and was so happy I did.
DeleteAw, bet your dog gives the best, deepest bark! Hounds are brilliant at the low vibrato baying. :)
ReplyDeleteGood look with your editing. Hope everything goes well. :)
Thanks, Kat!
DeleteGood luck with the reading...and congrats, too for being asked. Love the new dog term!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dawn. lol
DeleteFive $ dresses? Haven't seen those in ions. I'd have gotten twenty. (Still beaming over my $20 dresses, but I had to get five to get this price, so hence my ^...)
ReplyDeleteYou puppy mix sounds adorable. We want pictures!
I went back and bought two more dresses today. ;)
DeleteYou probably just made up a new breed. Quick, copyright it!
ReplyDeletelol. I know, right?
DeleteA sundress for $5 sounds great! No need for sundresses in the UK at the moment as we don't seem to be having a summer this year-not even wearing sandals...! Hope you have a good week Kelly.x
ReplyDeleteOh no! Well, it's really hot here, so I'm not sure that's better.
DeleteEnjoy your week!
I love sales and bargains.
ReplyDeleteI adore German Shepherds and their mixes.
Same here, on both accounts.
DeleteCongrats on your new puppy. What fun!
ReplyDelete$5 sundresses- amazing! Even if you only wear them one or two times it is a good deal!
The book reading sounds like it will be great!
My thoughts exactly. :)
Delete$5.00 sun dresses, wow! Wish I could even wear one but this ole bod in a sun dress would scare the monsters away!
ReplyDeleteLOL I doubt that, Allyn.
DeleteSHEPHOUND. Adorable! I want one! It must be rough being a working mom over the summer. Does your daughter go to camps or play at her friends' houses? Good luck with everything. It boggles my mind every time how you juggle all the things in your life!
ReplyDeleteThis is the toughest summer yet. I'm kind of swamped and my daughter wants to play with me all the time. No camp. We are getting a pool and putting on an addition, so things are crazy. I'm preparing for the "pick up and leave" that will be necessary when the construction gets underway. I'll be happy when it's over.
DeleteA Shephound is a word.
ReplyDeleteAt least now it is...
I've got so many people saying it now, so I'd say it's a word. ;)
