That's it for me. What's on your mind today?
How's the weather over there? Hot here. Trying to get down to second Victorian crime novel. Hard to write in the heat x
ReplyDeleteWe've been getting a lot of rain that is cooling things down. The cooler temperatures are nice but the rain is very heavy, so my lawn is flooding. lol I guess we can't win either way. ;)
DeleteI'm trying to get back to full work mode from being on vacation from my day job. I made real progress with one of my stories. Happy to hear the Book Fair went well. I read a great book over the weekend! Starting the sequel this weekend and I'm so excited.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your story and happy reading!
DeleteYou sound busy with edits. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI'm reading Transcendence right now and really enjoying it.
Thanks, Jessie.
DeleteYou are so BUSY, Kelly! Three edits at the same time sounds overwhelming--good luck! = )
ReplyDeleteThanks. Yes, busy as usual. LOL
DeleteWow, best of luck with your edits! I'm still trying to juggle my adult writing, children's books, and now, blogging adventures. It's going to be an interesting week, glad to be connected Kelly.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with that, Gina.
DeleteHey, I can't find your blog. Your link takes me to your Google+ page but I'm not seeing your blog there. Can you give me the url so I can stop by?
Best of luck with all your edits! I'm in the middle of revisions for book 3 and plugging away :)
ReplyDeleteYay! Good luck!
DeleteYou are busy, as always. I really like Darby's book cover! Thanks for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteI like it a lot too!
DeleteWorking on edits for three books sounds daunting, but you seem to have the energy to do it! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteDon't know where I'm pulling the energy from. lol
DeleteHey, Kelly, thanks for being part of the cover reveal. And good luck with all those edits. Yikes!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Darby!
DeleteThat's such a cool cover! Happy revising!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Patrice!
DeleteLove the fact that you're always so busy with writerly work.
ReplyDeleteI'm jumping around a bit today (in a happy way) because the beginning of my novel has just been critiqued in Writing Magazine and the general conclusion was that it was 'good'.
Still working on my novel and must really get back to writing my play too.
Other than that, entertaining my children over the summer break.
Congrats! Keep up the good work, Fi!
DeleteThat is a gorgeous cover. I'm sharing it tomorrow. Can't wait to read the book. Guess I will though. :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your edits.
Thanks, Beverly!
DeleteYay! Glad you had a blast at the book expo :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd you are one busy bee with all of that editing going on. Authors must be loving your work, Kelly. That's always a good thing, right?
P.S. Don't worry, you'll get that reading in!
These are actually edits on my own books, Faith. I got slammed with client edits at the start of the summer, but I've gotten those under control while I work on my own. Thankfully. :)
DeleteWow, working on three book edits is intense. Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Auden!
DeleteI love the title font of the cover.
ReplyDeleteI'll check out the pre-order.
Me too. :)
DeleteI have a critique group meeting tomorrow night and I'm hosting!!! lol
ReplyDeleteDecided to order out pizzas. :D
Get back to reading, chica! Relax a bit.
Have fun with your critique group!
DeleteI'm trying to relax. :)
Seeing your No.1,2,and 3- not at all surprised at your No.4!
ReplyDeleteOoooh, sounds good! Lovely little review, Kelly. :)
ReplyDeleteTake it easy, girl! You are on fire! (Hmmm, is THAT how you got the idea for INTO THE FIRE?)
LOL, not quite. ;)
DeleteGideon's Spear has quite an eye catching cover. I think it's that shade of green that does the trick.
ReplyDeleteGreen's my favorite color so I have to agree.
DeleteI love that cover! So eye- catching and interesting!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the edits! You always amaze me with what you get done in a day. :)
~Jess
Aw, thanks, Jess. :)
DeleteMy reading for fun has decreased too. I'm not happy about it, but I do have a lot of ARCS that I've put aside for reading next month so yay!
ReplyDeleteYay! I have a bunch I need to get to after BEA.
DeleteShort list this week I see. Have fun.
ReplyDeleteI try to keep it to 5 even when there's more. ;)
