Monday Mishmash 7/29/13

Happy Monday! Here's my mishmash of thoughts:
  1. Monroe County Book Expo  Thank you to everyone who came out to the Monroe County Book Expo on Saturday. It was a lot of fun.
  2. Edits  I'm working on edits for three of my 2014, which means copy edits galore!
  3. Pre-order FACE OF DEATH You can now pre-order Face of Death on Amazon or B&N. :)
  4. Reading  I'm falling behind in my reading lately, which makes me sad.
  5. Gideon's Spear Cover Reveal  I'm happy to share the cover of Darby Karchut's Gideon's Spear, which is the sequel to Finn Finnegan.

When a power-crazed sorceress and the neighborhood pack of beast-like goblins team up and threaten both his master and his friends, thirteen-year-old Finn (not Finnegan) MacCullen does the only thing an apprentice monster hunter can do: he takes the fight to the enemy.
And woe to the foe he meets along the way.

Title: Gideon's Spear (The sequel to Finn Finnegan)
Author: Darby Karchut
Publisher: Spencer Hill Press
ISBN:  978-1-937053-94-9
Release Date: 2/4/2014

That's it for me. What's on your mind today?

    1. We've been getting a lot of rain that is cooling things down. The cooler temperatures are nice but the rain is very heavy, so my lawn is flooding. lol I guess we can't win either way. ;)

  2. I'm trying to get back to full work mode from being on vacation from my day job. I made real progress with one of my stories. Happy to hear the Book Fair went well. I read a great book over the weekend! Starting the sequel this weekend and I'm so excited.

  11. Love the fact that you're always so busy with writerly work.

I'm jumping around a bit today (in a happy way) because the beginning of my novel has just been critiqued in Writing Magazine and the general conclusion was that it was 'good'.

Still working on my novel and must really get back to writing my play too.

Other than that, entertaining my children over the summer break.

And you are one busy bee with all of that editing going on. Authors must be loving your work, Kelly. That's always a good thing, right?

P.S. Don't worry, you'll get that reading in!

    1. These are actually edits on my own books, Faith. I got slammed with client edits at the start of the summer, but I've gotten those under control while I work on my own. Thankfully. :)
