Happy Monday! Here's my mishmash of thoughts:
- Touch of Death and Stalked by Death Chosen as Best Books in 2013! I'm ecstatic that both Touch of Death and Stalked by Death made blog lists for best books in 2013. Touch of Death was chosen as Best Paranormal by Patrice Caldwell over on Whimsically Yours, and Stalked by Death was chosen as Best YA by Sherry Ficklin over on Curvy Writer!
- Free Monthly Newsletter My free monthly newsletter goes out this evening. If you aren't signed up but would like to receive one, click here.
- #SHP2014 Twitter Chat Thank you to everyone who came out for the Spencer Hill Press Twitter chat last Thursday night. The chat was crazy fast and so much fun. Lots of ARCs were given away, including two of The Monster Within.
- Snow I'm kind of done with snow this season. Seriously, been there, done that. I'm ready for spring.
- 2014 Goals I've got my goals for this year all set. I'll be posting them on Wednesday.
That's it for me. What's on your mind today?
Congrats on your books being chosen as best reads. :-)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to reading your goals. If you have a huge one, I'd love if you joined my bloghop.
Thanks. I don't have a huge goal. I try to keep them attainable for the sake of my ego. ;)
DeleteCongratulations on your awards. Apparently there's a polar vortex on its way to parts of the US. Hope you're not affected. We haven't had snow this Christmas, just way too much rain. So much flooding in the UK (although not where I live - phew).
ReplyDeletePlans for 2014 - back on the healthy eating/exercise plan to lose almost 2 stones by the summer, rewriting my fantasy novel for the 9-12 year age range, getting an agent, being happy.
We've gotten quite a bit of snow. I'm sick of it already. I want the spring.
DeleteGood luck with your goals.
Thanks, Kelly.
DeleteHi Kelly, congrats on the best reads. Wishing you many more.
ReplyDeleteI hope you don't get too much snow, if any.
As the last comment says, too much rain. We've seen enough. Its not doing the farm any good. The pigs are swimming - well, almost.
It's pouring right now. I'm just glad it's not snow or icy rain.
DeleteCongrats! So happy for you! Back to work this week, with a FULL schedule and going through the process of a new hire…busy, busy!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jodi. Good luck with your full schedule and the new hire.
DeleteCongratulations on making two "Best of" lists! That's fantastic.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on making two "Best of" lists! That's fantastic.
ReplyDeleteCongrats. That's a great way to start a new year.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Johnell!
DeleteCongratulaions Kelly on two best books. You deserve it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sherry!
DeleteI'm not surprised you made several 'Best of' lists, Kelly! Bravo!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the new newsletter, and I'm with you - no more snow! (Even though it's only January 6th, LOL)
Thanks, Faith. You're so sweet.
DeleteI'm glad you're looking forward to the newsletter. :)
I can't take winter for long. I like warm weather.
Congrats on Best Book lists! That's awesome! I'm glad the chat was successful, and I'm looking forward to reading your goals on Weds. Can't say I'm looking forward to Spring though. I don't love cold weather, but it's better than summer in Egypt.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lexa. Yeah, I can imagine summer in Egypt is not something I'd enjoy. I prefer spring and fall because I like in-between temperatures.
DeleteCongrats, Kelly! Very cool! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lynn!
DeleteOMGosh! OMGosh, Kelly! That is so exciting. I'm thrilled for your Best Books of 2013 notice. Much deserved, I might add. Woot!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sheri. I love your enthusiasm. You're awesome. :)
DeleteI'm ready for Spring TOO! This cold weather (even in Florida) is not welcome anymore. lol
ReplyDeleteYes. Give me warm weather!
DeleteCongratulations on your books being winners. How exciting. I agree with the being ready for spring. We haven't had the snow, but the temperatures have been way below normal for us. My poor old bones are freezing. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I know I used to tolerate the cold much better. I miss those days.
DeleteCongrats on your best books win! That's awesome.
ReplyDeleteI'm still in DC, so I missed all that snow in the Northeast. We got snow here just not as much. Still way too cold.
Lucky you. Though the rain today melted a ton of snow. But the frigid temperatures tonight will most likely freeze everything now.
DeleteCongratulations, Kelly on your books being listed on Best of!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lisa!
DeleteCongrats on the best books! I just got back from the DR and I am still wanting more winter. I know, weird.
ReplyDeleteYou can have my snow and low temperatures if you want. ;)
DeleteIt is freezing here in IN! It's -9, but feels like -28. So cold! I just want to exist in my flannel robe. Who needs a dress code?
ReplyDeleteWow! My daughter's school is closed today due to extreme cold. It's crazy. I'll be wearing my fleece robe all day! I also have fleece socks on. lol
DeleteCongratulations on winning best books!!!
ReplyDeleteI just signed up for your newsletter. :)
Thanks, Chrys! :)
DeleteIn regards to all the snow, we clearly need ourselves a Dennis Quaid to make sense of it all...
ReplyDeleteI like how pretty snow is, but that's about it. ;)
DeleteCongrats!! :D I hope you stay warm, I'm glad I'm currently home in TX but even here it's much colder than usual :(
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I remember what warm is. lol
DeleteThat's wonderful news, Kelly! Congratulations! I'm almost done my last book reviews and then I'm going to read Touch of Death...looking forward to it! And I'm soooo over the snow & cold weather. Come on 70 degrees & summer dresses!
ReplyDeleteYay! I hope you enjoy it.
DeleteYeah, I'm ready for spring in a big way.
Congrats on getting onto those lists. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm seeing all the pictures of snow and I'm glad to be in Miami, although I do miss snow sometimes.
I think snow is pretty, but my love of it ends there. ;)
DeleteCongrats on having two of your books listed as Best Book of 2013. How exciting. :)
ReplyDeleteI am ready for warmer weather. It is chilly out there!
~Jess
Thanks, Jess.
DeleteMe too! Come on spring!
Kelly, those are some really great goals for 2014. I hope you conquer all of your dreams for this year!
ReplyDeleteLike yourself, I also don't like to advertise my work unless I physically visit local bookstores and libraries. I guess this makes us more humble as authors=)
I'm doing my best to balance my genres but at times, I find it difficult; especially working fulltime. I'm hoping to find more peace this year and not get too overwhelmed so I can really focus on my writing.
Happy hump Wednesday to you!
Thanks, Gina.
DeleteI hope 2014 brings you what you're looking for. :)
