Monday Mishmash 9/8/14

Happy Monday! Monday Mishmash is a weekly meme dedicated to sharing what's on your mind. Feel free to grab the button and post your own Mishmash.

Here's what's on my mind today:
  1. Into the Fire Goodreads Giveaway  Month9Books is offering 2 copies of Into the Fire on Goodreads. Go enter here!
  2. One Day, Two Releases  Tomorrow (September 9th) I have two YA novels releasing—Into the Fire and Perfect For You. Both blog tours begin this week and there will be giveaways associated with the tours and a SWAG giveaway here on Friday.
  3. Editing  Something must be in the air because I got six new editing jobs over the weekend and I was already in the middle of one at the time. This makes me happy. :)
  4. Renovations  My house still isn't completely finished. *sigh* My downstairs is almost back together, and we had the electrical inspection for the upstairs. Now just framing and plumbing inspections and then we can finish the upstairs. This will eventually end, right?
  5. Reading  My reading slowed down this summer so I'm now reading three books at once to try to catch up. Why is it that when I have more time for writing (during the school year) I feel like I have less time in my day as a whole?
That's it for me. What's on your mind today?

  1. Congratulations on the releases.

This week, well, I've been through my husband's crit of my novel (all amended and rewritten. I've chopped the very long chapters into more manageable lengths (we now have 31 chapters). This week, I'm going to make some changes that I noted as I was going through and then I'll start checking the dialogue of each character to make sure it's consistent. Should keep me busy for a while.

    Have a great week.

  2. On my mind today is figuring out a new writing schedule to mesh well with my work and family schedule. Will have to micromanage my blog posts and social media, budget edit & ebook formatting costs, etc

  17. About the renovations- I promise *this project* will end. But then... there'll be others. (Sorry.) Houses are like people, they always need work, and there's always something.
However, you are well equipped to deal with whatever life throws you, since you are clearly not afraid of work. That's what your Mondays tell me.
