Giving Thanks

With Thanksgiving tomorrow here in the U.S., I'm thinking of all the things I have to be thankful for. Here's my list, not in any particular order:
  • my family
  • my friends
  • my agent
  • the writing community
  • book bloggers
  • my Spencer Hill Press family
  • my Month9Books family
  • my Swoon Romance family
  • my agency sisters
  • my YA Bound sisters
  • coffee (I couldn't function without it.)
  • the internet (for making it possible for me to connect with writers and readers all over the world)
  • good books
  • my laptops
  • music (even though I look and sound like an idiot when I sing along)
  • my editing clients
  • my health
  • everyone who has read my books
  • my blog followers
What are you thankful for?

The world better not end next month!

    1. I know! If it ends before my first novel releases, I'm coming back as a zombie and doing some major damage. LOL

  5. I attended diversity training at work yesterday and it made me realize how grateful I am to work with the folks I work with every day. I'm also thankful for my family, friends, and fellow writers out here who share my same passions.

Thanks for sharing all you do!

  6. Hey Kelly. What a nice thoughtful list. There are so many things to be thankful for everyday. I will try to summarize my list. I'm thankful for my relationship with God, my husband,my family, my friends (blogging and otherwise), my goofy cat, the blessing of creativity and getting to witness the creativity of others (be it books, movies, art or whatever).

  12. Can't disagree with that list, though, one is intrigued by the notion of living in a country that devotes an entire extended weekend to giving thanks for all you have. Sounds nice, actually.

    1. It is, and since I'm not big on the food, I try to focus on what I'm thankful for. :)

  14. So ok, wwe don't have Thanksgiving over here (Memorably described by lovely American Tweep as :Give thanks, then eat like a pig) but your list resonates with me. Without family, friends and writing community, our lives would be soo impoverished, so,I join you lovely guys, and say 'Thanks'.

    1. I admit to never eating like a pig on this holiday. I'm not crazy about turkey and I don't like pumpkin pie. I like to focus on the giving thanks part of the holiday. :)

  15. I'm grateful for everyone present in my life now. I am grateful for everyone who has ever showed me support in any way, and I am most of all grateful for having for the first time a true friend, a real one.

    1. It is a nice concept, isn't it? I like having time set aside for being thankful for all the things we have. I think people spend too much time worrying about what they don't have. We need to recognize what we do.
