Monday Mishmash 3/26/18

Happy Monday! Monday Mishmash is a weekly meme dedicated to sharing what's on your mind. Feel free to grab the button and post your own Mishmash.

Here's what's on my mind today:
  1. Proofreading  I'm proofreading a book I plan to release this fall. I do several rounds of proofreading, but this is my last one before ordering a print proof.
  2. Revising  I have a novella coming out this summer, and I just got it back from my editor. I'll be diving into revisions later this week.
  3. Editing  I have a few days off before my next edit comes in, so I'm focusing on my own books in the meantime.
  4. Scaling back  I had originally planned to release a lot of books this year. I'm still going to be releasing quite a few, but I've decided to push some back to next year for my own sanity.
  5. Easter  I'm almost ready for Easter. This holiday sort of snuck up on me this year since it's early.
That's it for me. What's on your mind today?

  1. Still been doping plenty of work on my memoir. I don't whether to call it editing or revising, but also some proofing.

  2. Have 35k words to crank out in the next few weeks to make goal in the writing challenge I'm taking part in. And National Poetry Month begins next week. Won't be surprised if I end up with bags under my eyes the size of TX by May.

  3. You are amazing. Several books. Exciting. Here comes the slow turtle, hoping maybe to finish two or three this year. Happy writing.

    1. Two or three is great! Not turtle speed at all!

  4. I wonder, Kelly, about the "rounds of proofreading." I find that I can't do my own proofreading unless I let a long time pass between rounds. That means months...
Yes, let's celebrate spring. Joyous Easter to you 7 yours!

    1. I always allow months to pass between edits. One month is the minimum.

  5. Keeping sane is a good thing. Besides, you have to have some fun, too, right? Hope you and your family have a lovely Easter.
